Last night’s frost warning prompted our son to do an emergency nighttime harvest of tomatoes and herbs.
The picture only captures a fourth of the haul of basil, dill, thyme, fennel, and tarragon. He also spent several hours blending the basil with olive oil into freezable packets.
We’re going to be well stocked going into the winter, I think.

Recently learned dark theme causes issues with #astigmatism (cylindrical power in lenses, not just spherical).
I have it. #DarkTheme is fine on my phone or with my laptop very close to eyes, but laptop on a table in serious work mode, my eyes struggle with dark themes.

Thème du jour 17 : Empreinteà https://piaille.fr/@polker/117426766960213536 j'évoquais le style « marteau-piqueur » de l'huîtrier-pie. Voici 1 autre photo de ce jour là où un huîtrier-pie (dont on voit quelques empreintes) a suivi (en les sondant à coup de bec… C'est froid, c'est chaud, ça brûle… trouvé !) les pistes en positif, comme un bas-relief à la surface du sable, de petits animaux circulant sous la surface du sable.

“Everybody Loves Somebody” was a signature tune for Dean Martin—usually up tempo with a big band behind him. But the first version he recorded was on his “Dream With Dean” album and it’s a beautiful, nearly a cappella take. And it’s still my favorite.

Thème du jour 16 : Prise en 2026Hier matin, j'ai présenté 1 photo prise le 31/12/2025 près du #lac Saint-Michel où je suis retourné hier après-midi : l'eau est à 80–100 m du rivage habituel, à Botmeur. Le fond du lac est relativement plat et il y a beaucoup de « terre » noire… de la #tourbe ?
Avec ce ciel changeant, l'ambiance était magnifique et triste (à voir et par ses conséquences) à la fois.Lake Saint-Michel : the water is 80–100 m from the usual shoreline, the atmosphere was both magnificent and sad (both in what you see and in its implications).
