  17. If you are laid off due to AI, know that very soon companies will realize that AI is nothing more that a token prediction machine. And it's lazy. Very lazy. To the point that it will tell you it did something when it didn't.

    When you go back, make sure you get paid as much as they have wasted/burned on AI. Because this screenshot right here is what devs see AI doing. We know it's hype. But bosses who don't spend time with actual devs, are oblivious. Enjoying chatbots pleasing and coming up with hallucinated results (wrong chain of token predictions).

    An ancient Roman isekai'd into the modern day would have a lot of trouble with the concept we call a pedicab. I'm trying to imagine the poor person's eyes bugging out, as they ask, "Wait, you call that a *what*‽"
