Die Werte an sich sind schon schlecht, die Kombination der Werte macht daraus eine exotische Herausforderung. Sieben Wochen hat es bis zu den neuen Linsen gedauert. Der Frust über die eigne Blindheit sitzt tief. Wenn ich einen Führerschein hätte, müsste ich ihn wahrscheinlich abgeben.

My eyesight test did not go as well as expected. The astigmatism in one eye has become much worse.

I need to go back in a year rather than two, and I also have a few other issues that may be 'normal/stable' and due to improved detection, but will need monitoring.

New lenses are going to be expensive.

Apparently getting #LASIK or #PRK while having #astigmatism is a recipe for a really bad time, can't believe this isn't wider know or talked about often

I’m #gobsmacked by how my #vision has deteriorated over the past year.

The need for #readers just so I can clip my fingernails is a real thing now. I remember when I was a kid, I was able to hold up money closely and focus on the little details. Now I can’t make out anything unless it’s at least two feet from my face.

Oh, and I have #astigmatism and things like lights have a halo around them now.

I was mostly OK losing half my hearing, but am having much more difficulty with my vision.

Took 4 tries, but my amazing opthalmologist finally got the right contact lenses for me! They're not as good as my glasses, but fine for biking and other outdoor activities.

Day 6 of LASIK and my vision is finally on the upswing. They warned me that mixed astigmatism was a tough road but damn it's been a frustrating week.
