I really like looking at #unixporn, but the older I get ... I have my doubts that people do productive work on these setups :)

Give my PC a hard time lately, but I finally cloned its soul! I made a respin of my workstation with MX Linux so I can do stuff on-the-go. It's very plain & even can be used as a simple hypervisor if you bored.

Could your recommend a source of good wallpapers? or some particular cool ones?
Usually, I have plain gray background and light high contrast color schemes in terminal, browser and text editor. I want to experiment with transparency and (probably) dark color scheme, as light doesn't play well with opacity.
My first attempt: it looks nice-ish, but I feel much more strain on the eyes. Maybe I can workaround with better #wallpaper?

I just found out that wl-mirror has a rotate option! I plan on working like this all the time now.

I got the old laptop out, as I'm going to need it soon. Cleaned it up, updated the system, rsynced the stuff I need to it, changed some fonts and colours.

Quite a change of course, but I switched over to KDE Plasma, themed using Matugen instead of Stylix. The "overhead" of letting Home-manager/Stylix symlink other files across my home directory didn't sit well with me.
I had to chmod a couple of gtk-related dirs and files, in order to prevent Plasma from modifying them though. Here's my setup with Matugen:
Apps (clockwise from left):
Dolphin, Qalculate! (GTK), Qalculate! (Qt), Nautilus
This is the kind of uniform theming I wanted.

I honestly hated the "splash" quotes from the #Hyprland background image - they are immature at best.
But when I had the idea of replacing them by my own set of quotes, it really grew on me instantly.
So in the end, it's all about context and customization, really.
