  11. Existing persists. I'm taking a lil break from Palworld because the whole 'been playing non-stop for a couple of weeks' kind of slammed me in the autistic hyper-focus button, ha ha. I have a feeling I'll be back to it sooner rather than later, but I put up a game I can knit... or rather, unknit to. ><

Yeah, I accidentally did an entire extra 16 row repeat on the leg of my sock, so tinking that back slowly. It's slightly floofy yarn, so rip-frogging would probably be bad. 4 rows down, another 12 to go... tinktinktinktink.

Nothing fancy on the agenda for the week -- just back to work. Honestly I could do with another few weeks of just like, not doing, but. I know that my rest wasn't as restful 'cause sleep was being dumb. I hit myself with two of my melatonin stash last night to try and swing things around... so it goes.

  14. Existing persists. I don't feel as 'good' as I did yesterday, but I don't feel as bad as the day before. So that's... something? I got part of a chore done that I wanted to, so that's good too.

Less good is finding out that if eldest wants to take the bus they are currently taking, to go to the same school for sixth form, is gonna cost us £1,100 a year. Right. Because we have a spare £92 a month floating around for that. *sighs* We'll figure something out, but it's like... do you even want these kids to continue their semi-mandated education?!

    Anyways. Back to games-and-yarn.

  19. Existing! Vaguely! Got my hair washed, which was the main thing. Treated myself to an ice cream when the van came up the street, which my guts tell me wasn't the best idea. Rude? Rude. *chuckles*

Having said that, I slept super poorly yesterday, and I'm already feeling quite sleepy? Hopefully it pulls around. I'm really bored of feeling so weak that a stiff breeze could knock me over. I'd really like my body to reassure me that this isn't my new normal. ><

  23. Existing libraries help: memory mapping is as simple as a struct. All stitched together with valid ready handshaking 'streams'. Writes done over StreamSoC's AXI-Lite like 'shared resource bus' that comes with helper FSMs

  24. Existing stakeholders may find that scary, but it will help the energy transition in the long-run.

Tools like PyPSA-SPICE and others can help lower the barrier to running these tools.

  25. "Existing parental control tools are sophisticated: parents can already monitor and restrict children’s internet use through devices, routers and apps. The push for government-mandated age verification is not about those tools failing; it is about some parents choosing not to use them and governments seizing that negligence as a pretext for surveillance. Rather than investing in education and digital literacy, authorities are expanding their power to decide what everyone can see. The state should not be parenting the public. Yet under the Online Safety Act, every citizen becomes a suspect who must prove innocence before speaking or viewing online. What is framed as “protecting children” is, in practice, the construction of a population-wide compliance system."
