  6. #belkin #wemo app to control my light switches has been unable to login for three days with no status message from Wemo nor any news articles. But I did find out that I missed the announcement their cloud service is going offline in January with a less-than-six-month warning. "We got paid, fuck you" I guess. Some can still be used via Apple HomeKit, but I have one that requires the Wemo app.

  7. The Lego Ideas JWST project came up in my feed, and it got me looking at other Lego projects.

    Best one I found was:
    The Last Starfighter
    ideas.lego.com/s/p:bcbf8d7121c

    Great pick and well executed.

  10. @dsilverman

It does this ALL THE TIME for Houston weather. And when you look at the map, it’s always missing layer tiles for radar/storms when they do come through. I miss the Weather Underground before The Weather Channel bought them and I miss Dark Sky from before it got nuked. #SpaceCityWeather app ( @sciguyspace ) and @merrysky almost fill in all the gaps.

It was brutally hot today even in the shade when I took my daughter to the splash pad.

  11. I’ve been playing #Minecraft with my daughter on the Switch, and they did a great job with the port. This prompted me setting up a Java server again, but you can’t connect to private servers (Bedrock or Java) from consoles (lame).

I’ve got a #SteamDeck and got #PrismLauncher installed. Community controller layouts were too different from the Switch controls I’ve gotten used to. So…

  12. #HoustonZoo #SuperbOwl

Not sure of the species. I now realize I should have taken a pic of the sign by the exhibit.

  13. @alexch @beowuff @davew @jaredwhite @wjmaggos That’s why @leo ages ago called his show a #netcast, so it didn’t sound like it was for iPods only. The term never got steam. Not too late if we let them have “podcast” for the proprietary outlets.
