The annual tournament brings rising stars and international professional players to one of the nation’s top public tennis facilities for a week of world-class competition.

The Cary Tennis Classic has become a staple on the professional tennis calendar. Originally launched in 2015 as the Atlantic Tire Championships, the event has evolved into a combined men’s and women’s professional tournament featuring ATP Challenger and Women’s World Tennis Tour competition. The tournament was rebranded as the Cary Tennis Classic in 2024 and expanded to include a women’s professional event alongside the men’s competition.

Later in the day, Detroit City FC remained unbeaten with a 2-0 victory over Sneaky FC behind goals from Lopez Jordy and Antoine Hoppenot.
