#OTD 5 October, Two couples, my 5th-great-grandparents, married 14 years apart near Gnesta, Sweden.
• Carl Olsson, 28, married Catharina (Karin) Ericsdotter, 26, in Frustuna parish, in 1766. They had two children, including Eric Carlsson Nyström.
• Olof Jonsson, 50, married Christina (Kjerstin) Andersdotter, 28, in Björnlunda parish, in 1780. They had three children, including Brita Christina Olsdotter.
• Their children eventually married each other, but not on their parents' anniversary. Eric Carlsson Nyström and Brita Christina Olsdotter were my 4th-great-grandparents.

#OTD 4 October 1846, Isaac Allee, about 41, married Mrs. Melinda Sides, about 24, in Saline County, Arkansas. Melinda had divorced her husband, Alfred Sides, just a few days before. Her maiden name is unknown. She had three sons with Isaac, who died intestate in 1860. His probate file was a treasure trove of family relationships. Melinda remarried about seven months after his death. Isaac was related to my puzzling ancestor, Merrill Allee, and had named one of his sons Merrill.

Today's #grandma recording was the second part the last recording from a visit of April 14th, 2023. It was still a bit about her wanting to die, then she repeated stories of the hardships of living (partially alone) on a farm that is situated five kilometers from the village:
- frozen water pipes leading to her having to carry the water for the cows inside and they wouldn't stop drinking
- very rocky roads often damaging the cars
- a lot of snow and the post man allegedly lying about not having received the newspaper, so he wouldn't need to go all the way to the farm on ski/by foot.
- having to pick up somebody, getting stuck in the snow, putting the boots to dry and still having to wear the wet boots the next day
Ultimately, we ended up at the siblings of her uncle's ex-wife, which will probably help one day to extend my data further than the available church books allow.

There are still 94 records from 21 visits left.

#OTD 3 October 1815, Johann Georg Voßeler married his second wife, Anna Maria Kohler, in Tuningen, Württemberg. The couple had two daughters who died young and two sons who grew to adulthood. The eldest had no known children and the youngest moved to Switzerland. With his first wife, Johann Georg had three children, all surviving to adulthood. Two sons, including my great-great-grandfather, emigrated to the US in the 1850s. A daughter stayed in #Tuningen. I'd love to find cousins from these branches.
