Hammer & Hope is a new magazine of Black politics and culture. It is a project rooted in the power of solidarity, the spirit of struggle and the generative power of debate, all of which are vital parts of our movement toward freedom.
We are inspired by the courageous #BlackCommunists in Alabama whose lives and struggles to organize against capitalism and white supremacist terror in the 1930s and 1940s are memorialized in Robin D. G. Kelley’s book “Hammer and Hoe,” from which we take our name.
We will envision collectively what a better future might look like and the strategies that could get us there. Such an undertaking compels us to deepen our knowledge of history, politics, culture and our own movements.
Our aim is to build a project whose politics and aesthetics reflects the electric spirit of the protesters who flooded the streets in 2020, a project that breathes life into the transformative ideas pointing us towards the world we deserve.

"Am 26. September ging der Prozess gegen Hanna in München zu Ende. Zeitgleich wird die Terminierung der weiteren Verfahren im sog. „Budapest-Komplex“ in Düsseldorf bzw. Dresden absehbar und diese sollen noch dieses Jahr starten. Maja erwartet unterdessen im Oktober ein Urteil in Ungarn. Das jetzige Urteil stellt damit einerseits einen Startschuss in die weiteren Verhandlungen dar, die nochmals größer und umfassender werden. Andererseits gibt das Urteil auch eine klare Schlagrichtung für die kommenden Prozesse und die weitere Kriminalisierung militanter Politik vor.
So weichte das Urteil gegen Hanna in München die bisherigen Rechtsprechungen zu kriminellen Vereinigungen weiter auf. Die bisherigen Berichte über die Urteilsbegründung zeichnen sich vor allem durch Unklarheiten aus: Ist die Vereinigung nun eine neue oder die Fortsetzung der sog. „Hammerbande“ aus dem Verfahren gegen Lina und weitere Genoss:innen? Der Gründungszeitraum bleibt ebenfalls wage. Die vermeintliche Vereinigung soll durch eine Beschuldigte im Budapest-Komplex und zwei weitere Unbekannte gegründet worden sein, mit dem Ziel gewaltsam gegen Faschist:innen vorzugehen."

@david_zwei Wir müssten ihr antifaschistisches Engagement oder zumindest entsprechende Sympathien...naja, nicht nachweisen. Der #Hammerbande wurde ja auch nichts nachgewiesen, lediglich unterstellt. Irgendwer müsste der #Nazipartei also Linksgerichtetsein unterstellen, was die #Nazischlampe (Zitat Christian Ehring, laut Gerichtsurteil von Meinungsfreiheit gedeckt) durch ihr Outing #Hitler:s als Kommunist doch wohl getan hat.

Hier steht nun Antifa Ost auf der Sanktionsliste. Noch aber offenbar keine konkreten Namen von Einzelpersonen.
Die Auswirkungen auf Einzelpersonen kann sehr einschneidend sein, wenn Sanktionen durchgesetzt werden, insbesondere weil die USA auch zu Sekundärsanktionen greifen können: d.h. es können jene bestraft werden, die US-Bezug haben, aber sich zB JN Deutschland nicht an die Primärsanktionen halten.
Beispielsweise Banken: im Grunde alle haben auch ein USA-Geschäft. Gibt nun eine deutsche Bank einer von den USA gelisteten Person ein Konto, kann (nicht: muss) das US-Sanktionen gegen die Bank auslösen, weshalb in vorauseilendem Gehorsam Banken oft von sich aus schon gar kein Konto gewähren.
