I fell down the YT rabbit hole and ended up at the story of Terry Fox. For those who don't know, Terry had a leg amputated in 1980, and then set about a run across Canada (not the short way either), to raise money for cancer research. Unfortunately, he didn't make it, and died after reaching Thunder Bay. However, his dream lives on in multiple Terry Fox runs around the world generating millions to combat cancer. It's a story that still chokes me up now. Here's the link for his story, also check out Steve Fonyo, and Rick Hansen, more Canadian heroes doing insane things for great causes.

We got some bad news today. Our 7 yr old Pippa #greyhound has bone cancer and unfortunately it spread to her lungs. Leg amputation and aggressive chemo early on could not stop it. #Osteosarcoma is very bitter. We’ll be with Pippa to the end. We’ll spend the next weeks doing fun things, serving lots of grilled steak, and the rest of our lives, cherishing this brave little girl. :-(
