Mittwoch - Ich bin ja froh, dass ich ziemlich früh morgens durch die vielen Baustellen der Stadt muss. Das geht noch einigermaßen flüssig. Dann aber werde ich von liebestollen, blinden und tauben Fasanen ausgebremst, die sich die Fahrbahn als Kampfarena ausgesucht haben und nicht die Bohne auf den Verkehr achten. Nun ja, nach ein paar Augenblicken verlassen die hormongeschüttelten Streithähne die Straße Richtung Unterholz und ich komme doch noch einigermaßen pünktlich im Büro an. Es hätte wahrscheinlich kaum einer bemerkt, wenn ich nicht da gewesen wäre. Meine einzige Aufgabe heute: Einem Kollegen für die Datenbank einen neuen Filter bauen, bzw. den vorhandenen Filter so umbauen, dass er für den Kollegen nutzbar ist. Fünf Minuten Arbeit, zwei Minuten erklären - und schon bin ich der Datenbank-/Computer-/Programmiergott schlechthin. Ich bin eine Legende! Nun ja... Vielleicht nicht ganz.
Der Nachmittag ist interessanter. Mein Vater bekommt heute sein Internet eingerichtet, was mit der Fritzbox ja nun auch kein Hexenwerk ist. Aber nach erfolgreicher Einrichtung nebst Internetradio-Einstellung bin ich der Computer-/Internet-/Technikgott schlechthin! Ich erkenne ein Muster. Immerhin: Die gestellten Aufgaben wurden erfolgreich erledigt! Mehr wollte ich doch gar nicht.
#amEndedesTages freue ich mich auf einen tierisch torfigen #Whisky. Ein Big Peat darf sich heute den Weg in meine Blutbahn prügeln. Dazu ein Buch, das Sofa und die beste Ehefrau von allen. #hachz!
Morgen wird es wohl ebenso ruhig wie heute. Das lange Wochenende wirft seine Schatten voraus. Mal schauen, was ich aus dem Tag mache.

After a very hectic but productive day yesterday, decided to go out for a drink or two, found a surprisingly tasty Belgian whisky, Braeckman 2023 single grain which seems to combine the tastes of bourbon, rye and a little smokiness and pairing it with a 14.5% stout made the taste sensation even better. #whisky #belgianwhisky #braeckman #ImperialStout

This is Bushmills #3 char Bourbon Cask. Single malt, triple distilled.
I've always gone for Scotch and American, but I've never tried Irish. This was suggested to my by a friend, and was praised a lot afterwards.

I meant to post these two weeks ago and got distracted.
Some recent pickups from Julio's Liquors - a few Loch & K(e)y Rye offerings, I'm a big fan of rye. The Nelson's Green Brier which was a very pleasant dram at a recent Whiskey Wednesday at a very low price, so I picked one up. The Sotol and Nixta were from another WW. While I tend toward whiskey, I do enjoy other spirits and the sotol was worth adding to my lineup. The Nixta is a sweet corn liqueur, something you'd use in a cocktail maybe in place of simple or agave to give it a different flavor. It was interesting enough to pick up to play with.
The others are recent Compass Box web (Duality) and auction (Juveniles and Canto Cask 47) pickups, and the Bimber Duality which I also snagged at auction. Compass Box is my Pokémon. 😅

Gisteren een erg leuke avond gehad in Borne. De deelnemers proefden onderstaande line-up. En nu op naar mijn club MVV'29 voor de jaarlijkse stamppotdag waar zoon Simon samen met de Kookstudio van Mvv'29 voor 200 deelnemers stamppot bereidt. En als om 9.30u de zon gaat schijnen volgens Weerplaza begint het voetbaltoernooi, de mountainbiketocht en wij gaan de wandelaars voorzien van koffie met kreentnweg. Topdag!
