U don't have to ditch fish shell 😃. Nushell's external completion options let us use any completions as we like. Like carapace, fish or any custom completions.
I use fish completions in nushell for some commands. Coz nushell completions are still not that good compared to fish as of now. -

A simple analogy for anyone to understand how #nix is different from tools like #ansible etc
Ansible(convergent) is like carving a wood, where u have some existing state like plain wood which u tinker continuously until u achieve the expected state
Nix(congruent) is like 3d printing, where the exact expected state is created from the start🔥
#nix #nixos #nixpkgs #nix

After some real basic remote access use cases I tried tailscale for a while and after checking out netbird coz it felt more batteries included and more customisations through UI and of course it's fully self hostable and open source.
But I still follow the release notes of tailscale on their new releases.#netbird #tailscale #WireGuard #vpn #SelfHosting #networking

Hi All
Though too much procrastination, I'm again feeling like to start a video content creations in peertube, odysee, youtube etc
The contents would be on nix for beginners.
These days I see more content creations than last year for nix, but still nix is something many misunderstand as hard to begin with. I plan to ease the initial friction.Ant tips/suggestions for the platforms are welcome preferably open source ones

My imagination:🙊
In future,
any terminal, browser, terminal multiplexers, window managers all will have a common UX pattern like
1) Vertical or horizontal tabs
2) tiling, scrollable tiling(like niri)
etc etc for a similar UX for easier engagement and management.Taking the features of one from the other will bring this soon❤️

Club some rooms then, u have space, and u can have another space inside a space. It's just that good. This way any rooms in a space can be decoupled or just replicated to another space. This is really a cool potential IMO.
This is really useful for organisations for teams and chat management.

Suggest me any such clients for matrix, xmpp, nostr etc

Discord honestly is a good UI/UX for multi level chat organisations. I thought why we couldn't have something like that for matrix.
Then I discovered cinny, which is really cool. And now after using it for a while honestly it just clicked me that matrix way of organising really have true potential coz the method is better than discord.
In matrix everything is a room, so with that as building block we can have any type.

I really wish all the fediverse instances bring support for reactions😄. Coz now it's just a favourite button and iirc some instances like misskey etc have reactions support.
I love reactions, coz of the versatile ways to react to a toot with emojis. 😅I see some clients like trunks, fedilab have reaction feature 🤔 so if I recat to some mastodon toots will others see the reaction?

IMO it's one such really underrated feature of the NixOS. Imagine same #OS but very little extra storage for a different setup like #gaming, office, #mobile OS(in future maybe) etc all without dual or triple booting multiple OS🔥💪
More such use cases too. Like I want a specialisation with #cachyos #linux #kernel some options tweak for performance use case etc etcPower of #declarative OS. And it's just one of the features of this awesome OS😁. The ecosystem is growing too

NixOS have this feature called specialisation which is used for some minor/major alterations to ur OS config at boot entry. So that u don't have to dual boot 2 #Linux OS for different purposes. Eg: One for normal use, one for gaming/whatever purpose
The customisation difference could be changing from apps to even kernels if u wish.
The most awesome thing is it won't take extra storage like running 2 os. It only takes extra space for the extra config/apps u add.

This poses some problems since it's going in the kernelspace. I think at this point we should have parallel kernels running like virtualisations or like this one :
https://github.com/multikernel
(The Linux, kerf etc repos in this)As like always the community will come up with a method to solve this I hope 💪🔥
But there's an OS which have a feature to potentially solve these. It's NixOS.
