At this rate, I wonder what will get completed first. Neomacs looks delicious though, ngl (even if vibecoded, I'm assuming it's a good one)

Common #ivy #Hedera #helix (#Araliaceae) exhibits either a #creeping or #climbing #stem, named stem #dimorphism, as well as different leaf shapes (#heterophylly). The #species is #native to western, central, and southern #Europe, extending as far as Sweden and Turkey. Elsewhere it appears as #neophyte. Its evolutionary roots lie in Tertiary tropical forests.

[UPDATE: this issue was already fixed in {languageserver} 0.3.17, no need for workarounds]
If you write R code with an LSP-powered text editor, you probably use {languageserver}, which delegates diagnostics to {lintr}. If you customize your {lintr} settings at all, perhaps you noticed that your settings are being disregarded.
But there's a fix!

The #Helix #Nebula (also known as NGC 7293 or Caldwell 63) is a planetary nebula located approximately 650 to 700 light-years away in the constellation Aquarius.
Often referred to as the "Eye of God" or the "Eye of Sauron" due to its striking resemblance to a human eye, it is one of the closest bright planetary nebulae to Earth.

Anyone here running their full dev setup on a #Hetzner box? Thinking headless #Fedora, SSH from my Mac, terminal only. #Helix, tmux, lazygit, podman per project. iOS dev via #Tailscale to the simulator on my Mac. Long-term experience? Latency? Regrets?

Without a doubt, I'm "trying to change a lightbulb."
All I wanted was to start up a server. 🫠
I'm now researching creating a grammar for docker-bake. Forking #HCL one. So I can get the #docker bake set up "JUST right" on #helix with docker-language-server. So I can fix the annoyance of #terraform #LSP being used incorrectly. Then refactor a dockerfile. So I can then upload into a registry cleanly.
So I can finally host the darn thing. 🤣

CW: found more slopware in my toolbox
helix editor has become tainted too
there's a discussion about this at https://github.com/helix-editor/helix/discussions/15408 where a maintainer suggests adopting Ghostty's policy (which welcomes AI slop and just holds it to a code standard)
guess I'll just keep the version pinned to latest clean…
(can't find the claude commit in main, maybe it's in one of the dev branches)

I just learned that when language servers crowd Helix with too many errors, I can filter them out

Why I moved my workflow to the terminal.

I wish I could switch to a completely slop-free editor without compromising my workflow too much.
Helix would be a great alternative: Its mappings seem a bit more consistent than Vim’s, also it has Tree-sitter, LSP and fuzzy pickers already built-in. But it lacks some features (digraphs, extensibility, folding – in that order).
I also had a look at Kakoune, which also seems alright, but I don’t like that tabs and splits are delegated to the terminal emulator, a multiplexer or window manager. I respect that decision, but I’d prefer that feature to be built-in.
For now, I’ll stick to Neovim. At least they have a policy that makes LLM users check and sanitise the generated code (https://github.com/neovim/neovim/blob/master/CONTRIBUTING.md#ai-assisted-work), although I’d prefer if they’d outright ban it.
