Hille (1969, _Lectures on Ordinary Differential Equations_, Addison-Wesley) says, if a first-order (nonlinear) ordinary differential equation sets the derivative of the dependent variable to a function of the dependent variable and the independent variable that is rational in the dependent variable, then all movable singularities of the solution must be algebraic 1/2

Something else probably no-one other than me will never need to know: the #DebianLibre live DVD/USB system, while it runs a kernel without proprietary blobs within the live environment itself, installs a kernel *with* proprietary blobs to the hard drive when you run the installer. If you want a #LinuxLibre kernel on the eventual installed system, you have to do some manual fiddling with the apt configuration.
