There's no need to reinvent the wheel. AOSP is a secure, open-source platform that has been around for almost 20 years. I don't want to debate rumors that Google wants to make AOSP proprietary because there is no evidence to support this, especially since it would not benefit them in any way.

It's probably the first time I've seen “Tails” and “Normie” in the same sentence, It's not that Tails is difficult to use, but I'm really not sure that many “normies” use it or even know it exists. The user experience on GrapheneOS is almost identical to Pixel OS, the standard operating system for Google Pixel devices, so using GrapheneOS is likely to seem much simpler and familiar to normies, as they will already be used to it.

It appears to me that #Lebara (a mobile ISP in the UK) is blocking #Tailscale.
Can anyone confirm? Anyone know if they are willing to unblock?
Symptoms are that I cannot connect to controlplane.tailscale.com from mobile data.

Also, vis-a-vis webseeds... what's stopping a Tor onion service from being the HTTP(S) endpoint? Those are pretty damn hard to bring down (from a legal standpoint). I'd assume the main limitation is that BitTorrent clients don't speak "onion service," but that's a fixable problem. Hell, what's stopping the trackers themselves from being onion services?

Today's lesson learned: if you don't allow your #Tailscale node to advertise routes on the UI, you won't be able to access your other nodes on mentioned subnet... 🤦♂️

- I’m provisioning a throw-away server using an emphemeral key
- the server is tagged as “server” and “ephemeral”
- I can see it as ephemeral in my Tailscale admin panel
- I’m running tailscaled with “—state=mem”
- I’m even doing an explicit “tailscale logout” on shutdown
Yet.. the instance sticks around in my Tailscale control panel for hours if not longer and blocks the hostname during that time.
Anyone in the same situation?

If you can’t buy a premade tracksaw, diy is viable w/ basic materials (the route I took). Lots of videos too on how to make a table saw out of a corded circular saw. I did that w/ a router table, same principle.

Here's a look at #SonicMovie3 filming prep from June 2023. Film crew built a set in Bourne Wood, south of Farnham, England.
Full-body props of Sonic, Tails, & Knuckles were also spotted in the woodlands.
It is unclear if production is ongoing due to the current Hollywood strikes, with principal filming rumoured to begin in late August.
