Des rencontres internationalistes très importantes ont eu lieu à Vienne en Autriche dernièrement.
Car on ne pourra pas porter une réelle alternative aux néo-fascismes, aux guerres, au capitalisme, aux Etats autoritaires et aux désastres écologiques par des réformismes, des non-reculs qui en réalité perdent du terrain, des élections et des protestations épisodiques.
S’allier, se conjuguer, augmenter force et détermination, reprendre l’initiative et passer à l’offensive est vital et urgent.
À quand des initiatives similaires partout ? À grande échelle comme au niveau des communes et quartiers ?
Et puis il ne s’agit plus de discuter longtemps et procrastiner, ni de se focaliser sur nos nombrils, il s’agit de se donner des moyens concrets et d’agir vigoureusement, avec des objectifs ambitieux.

The start to this #DrWho season, #TheRobotRevolution, was good fun with a bit of a 80s Dr Who vibe and a name that @viznut would appreciate.
It was let down by unnecessarily heavy handed delivery and a disappointing resolution, but if this was the new baseline, and we went up from here, I think we could be happy. A lot, lot better than #SpaceBabies at least.

I'm switching to Logseq for note taking/keeping: https://logseq.com/
Over the years I've been using ikiwiki, MoinMoin, Trello, and then vimoutliner. I don't have many requirements so vimoutliner has been nice for somebody already using vim, the thing I was missing the most was ability to access notes from my phone. With Logseq I can keep the same note structure and using #syncthing I can keep them synced between multiple devices. What are you using?

Lots of stuff to do at work so instead I'm looking into switching from vimoutliner to #logseq for note taking etc. It's an electron app but the ability to reasonably use it on a mobile phone might be worth the pain.

Reversing the Freight Train: The Case for Degrowth
... Walt Rostow, who was, along with Kuznets, one of the field’s most influential early thinkers, understood growth as the foundation of the postwar world order. His Stages of Economic Growth, published in 1960, was unsubtly subtitled ‘A Non-Communist Manifesto’. According to what is now called the ‘Rostovian’ account, growth wasn’t just the solution to domestic instability in advanced industrial economies and the remedy for the backwardness of ‘traditional’ (non-industrial) societies; it was also the antidote to socialism. There was no need for revolution: the managed markets of postwar capitalism would eventually, peacefully, deliver the fruits of modernisation – a non-violent, self-reinforcing alternative to expropriation and collectivisation. It wasn’t clear, however, how traditional societies would respond to the inevitable disruption associated with integration into the global economy. ‘How,’ Rostow asked, ‘should the traditional society react to the intrusion of a more advanced power: with cohesion, promptness and vigour, like the Japanese; by making a virtue of fecklessness, like the oppressed Irish of the 18th century; by slowly and reluctantly altering the traditional society, like the Chinese?’ ...

Um instrumento que até pode ser útil em momentos específicos, acabou sendo alçado a Ideologia Educacional.
Professores se auto-censurando, não transmitem conhecimento.
Ensinar virou uma coisa feia, o certo é "provocar", "agitar", "mostrar ferramentas".
Afinal "o estudante precisa aprender a aprender".
Do ponto de vista do aluno, aprender virou uma ataque de força bruta, tentativa erro.
