I did not expect to say this but #Paralives actually turned out amazing, wow. I really felt like it would end up mediocre with gameplay as an afterthought, but there's so many interesting and fun features in there.
Of course there's tons of bugs and incomplete features, but that's early access for ya. I trust the team to deliver more. Even at the current level, I feel like it's worth it though. What a refreshing game.

I already try to play #naturist in my #ttrpg games like #DnD and #13thage and include them i my #Earthdawn and #callofcthulhu games.

just in case there's someone out there that loves the Let's Go Shopping sims track as much as i do, i want to share two things:
1) alf clausen's The Land of Chocolate (1991) was specifically composed for the Simpsons episode. Jerry's track is almost definitely an homage to Alf/simpsons.
2) Alf Clausen's track is ITSELF an homage and/or parody of a Joe Jackson track from coppola's film Tucker: The Man and his Dream.

so the group who started this VERY laudable aforementioned game music archival project did what discord idiots do, which is only distribute releases to select few on their private discord channels.
this is what the same kind of powerbro crap lamers did in the 90s on irc: "join my #channel and MAYBE i'll give you access to my warez dcc bot if you kiss my ass enough"
bleh. that kind of loser archivist culture can go back to the 90s where it should have died in the first place. they let their website die, and are still hanging out on their discord instance telling people that they "can't" share the archive with anyone.
so here's something better for archiving: be public, work publicly, and share openly.
i found a lossless copy of The Sims 1 soundtrack and uploaded it to IA. Jerry Martin (the composer/performer) did supply some of these tracks to the archival project, so i'll assume he's okay with us continuing the archival work. grab the FLACs here:

specific request from those who know the indie gamedev territory: did we ever get a Sims 1 style online mmo made by not-EA?
by Sims 1 i mean: it has, to me, the perfect blend of straightforward UI and gameplay before it became overwhelmed with nested menus and extremely complex behaviour found in 2-4. anyone could just sit down and decorate a room in 10 minutes without much help.
by mmo i mean: building a house in a neighbourhood full of other people who also want to burn down each others kitchens for fun

Memory: 16 GI mean the Steamdeck handles it fine though i am not sure if you can compare that APU to an CPU with an integrated GPU
