This evening I learned, to my great surprise, that Eärendil was a marina.
I was going to make some comment about different patterns of lexical stress exposing Americans attempting British accents but after that revelation any remark would be superfluous.

The old lumieres lasted 1950–2024 and might have gone on much longer had Management simply replaced the incandescent lamps with LED equivalents.
But no, they went for shiny. The new ones don't have replaceable lamps. So this one is being entirely replaced after only 9 months.
