Bonus learning: you'd think older machines would struggle, but I've seen no post-install h/w issues on my 13-year-old MacBook Pro: wifi, bluetooth, ethernet, screen, touchpad, keyboard, speakers...
I suspect age is a benefit to a point, the Linux community having had more time to solve things, subverting Apple's planned obsolescence and urge to sell more regardless of environmental impact.

Little by little migrating all my desktops and servers to #Debian... 😉
My final humble conclusion is that a true #OpenSource project has to be run by a community and not by a corporation... 🤷♂️

Ich nutze #TuxedoOS also #Unbuntu #KDE leider recht selten im Dualboot und warte dann lange auf installierende Updates...
kenne und nutze gerne #inkscape, #penpot und #kdenlive aber das reicht nicht, im Alltag greife ich immer wieder auf #Windows zurück (Performance, #Affinity Programme laufen auch nicht mit Wine und Bottles)

Tried upgrading my wifes win8.1 pc to win10 because end of life and its crashing randomly looks like a hardware/mb issue really, new parts ordered but until then she's using my desktop and I'm on this old dell xps
Working well, razor headset and video camera up and going, not sure how to make multi monitor work in Remmina doesnt seem to do what you'd expect

OK so #Unbuntu #linux is working and I have steam installed (tho it seems to install packages every time it runs?)
wifi going video going, even the touch screen works
need a good look round at things now and find some stuff to install
music (tidal?) image editing, mebe some dev, anything fun?
time to call it quits tho for tonight
