Panellists exchanged notes about how to raise awareness and minimise their dependence on proprietary software, at least for club-related activities

It was noted that groups like the Free Software Community of India (#FSCI) are already running some alternatives, such as meet.fsci.in for video calls. Raising awareness of existing alternatives to proprietary web platforms, like #Codeberg (powered by #Forgejo) and #Penpot is an important step in this process

Bueno #Penpot tengo entendido se presenta como una alternativa open-source de Figma la cual mencionabas en tu artículo así que esa podría ser quizás la mejor opción. La verdad que Figma nunca lo utilicé y Penpot me interesaba ponerme a aprender pero tengo tantas cosas encima que ahí está todavía, esperando.

I'm absolutely proud of myself for doing so successfully 😎

And I'm also really pleased with the front-end approach it has! I'm migrating/adapting my WordPress Block Themes designs from Figma as a way to get familiar with the UI, and I'm surprised so far with how much these two systems match. I'm really excited as I've been mulling over switching for a long time! 🙌

The "O" is a custom font so I assume there's probably a bug around this. A solution would be to convert the text to curves ... if this feature was actually available in penpot, which is not 🙃
