On the hardware side of my dev setup I made 2 changes:

Switched from #Realforce TKL keyboard to #HHKB Pro Hybrid Type-S. Those #topre switches are endgame, and while I had the same ones in the Realforce, the overall feel of HHKB, its layout, size, weight, feels great. It forced me to start using ctrl in caps-lock position due to its layout, which is something I wanted to try in the past but never had enough will. Should have done this earlier, because it feels great.

3) Le Capybara #Topre split column stagger, with 45g KLC domes, no silencer rings, and MT3 Operator keycaps, in a 3dp Sporkus case.

Craziness. On our trip to Memphis last week, we wandered into this quaint little boutique in midtown called The Wren's Nest. My wife and daughter set about trying on French dresses and such, while I wandered about idly, trying to entertain myself.

As I poked about the shelves, I came upon a display of four extreme-level custom keyboards and I've never found such an out of place treasure, completely out of the blue!

I got a #Leopold FC980C for my bday bc I wanted to see what #Topre switches were like. It was specifically ordered from a Korean importer bc I wanted 한글 #keycaps. The switches sound great, though I wish it had 45g vs 30g actuation force. I tend to rest my hands on the home row and I've unintentionally inserted characters into docs I'm reading a lot. The #pbt keycaps feel wonderful, but they're black-on-black which defeats the purpose of using this keyboard to better my 한글 typing proficiency.
