Bought a #Keychron Nape Pro as my first trackball device. Quite interesting, I still have to try different placements and settings. The wheel feels a bit rough but it's okay. The ball though stops sometimes, is there a break-in time or some oil to smoothen it?

Keychron has announced ZGM, an open-source firmware platform for gaming mice that's expected in early 2027. Built on the Zephyr RTOS, the goal is to make mouse firmware transparent, customizable, and auditable instead of the usual closed-source black box. If it catches on, it could be a really interesting step forward for gaming peripherals.

The Keychron K11 Max is one of the best, most comfortable keyboards ever manufactured. Change my mind.

Had some unused keyboard body laying arround here for a while. A Keychron K8 pro, that I used in the past.
Did build a fresh keyboard out of it today:
- Body: Keychrom K8 Pro ANSI
- Switches: Akko Rosewood (Linear, lubed)
- Keycaps: Cheap double-shot PBT set "Botanical"For a budget build, it's super comfortable to type on and the plastic body of the K8-Pro with the Rosewood switches gives it a nice deep "thocky" sound profile while overall being rather quiet.
Definitely a keyboard that gets added to my rotation. (I have way too many keybs now .. lol)

And another #Keychron keyboard of mine is dying, 2/2 are frustratingly unreliable. Either it's individual keys becoming flakey or the keyboard randomly switches off completey and needs a power cycle — or both. Definitely not getting another one of those.

Aktuell nutze ich 2 #cherry stream 3.0.Ich habe daher nach low Profile Tastaturen mit iso-de Layout, #Halleffekt Keys und Konfiguration unter Linux gesucht ( #via ) Weil wenn schon dann richtig.
Ich zocke wenig und arbeite viel im Terminal (Sysadmin Linux).Habe diese 2 Optionen gefunden:

- #Keychron K1 (V.6) - Banana SwitcheAuf welche der beiden Optionen sollte ich verzichten?

Got a new #keyboard!
I'm not really into keyboards—I don't like mechanical keyboards. Normally I just buy a cheap $20 keyboard. But, heard good things about #Keychron and it turns out they do sell “silent” keyboard.
Got the Keychron B33 for $40. Feels pretty solid and I like that it supports USB dongle, Bluetooth, and USB wired. No complaints so far about the keys.
