  1. This is immensely satisfying to deep clean. How often do you clean your oven? I do ours every 3 months #SpringCleaning #Oven

  2. Why do I always get headaches on the weekend? 😩

I did dust, vacuum and mop the entire floor today, and the second load of laundry is in the machine, so please clap.

  3. #SpringCleanScotland 2026 is running between 13 March and 24 April 2026.

"Spring Clean Scotland is our annual campaign which brings together people from across Scotland to tackle litter. During this month-long campaign, thousands of volunteers spend time outdoors cleaning up the environment through sociable, fun, litter picking sessions.

There's two ways to get involved:

Find a litter pick near you to support by checking our Clean Up Scotland Map.
Create your own #SpringCleanScotland litter pick and register it.

Check out the Community Litter Hub for advice and support to organise your own litter pick.

Each year we release bespoke posters and social cards with dates of our #SpringCleanScotland campaign to promote local activities, check out our Handy Resources page for these. We have also included an editable poster for you to share all the details of events with your community."

    Mar. 21, 2026

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WAFF) - "Dozens of people spent their Saturday cleaning up Huntsville’s waterways.

"Huntsville’s Green Team and local volunteers spent time picking up trash and other debris from local streams.

"Organizers say it’s essential to keep the city clean to protect North #Alabama’s environment.

" 'This is a good place because, first of all, this water it is coming through Spring Branch, it’s flowing down South Huntsville to the Tennessee River. And a lot of it catches up here, it accumulates here,' said Dan Waldrop."

  11. Spring has sprung - time for a fresh start and some spring cleaning! 🧹

As we're getting ready to clean, let's stop buying those US-owned brands. It's the perfect time to swap for brilliant UK, European alternatives – supporting local economies and sending a clear message.

Examples from the list: Ditch Fairy, Flash, Mr Muscle, Pledge and Lenor → Go for Finish UK, Cif, Mr Sheen and Persil

    Let's keep the momentum going 💪 🇬🇧 🇪🇺

  14. I just gave some of my surfaces in my room a wipe to get the dust out, and if you’re wondering about the gaps between the spokes of an electric fan, I’m getting an air duster with a high rpm.

Whatever can’t be wiped off can be blown off!

That should make my room more breathable.

    #HazardousWaste

"Hazardous Waste collection is the FIRST Saturday of each month April thru November between 7:30 AM and 1:00 PM. If near a holiday, please check the holiday schedule to see if we are open. If we are closed on the weekend that would be hazardous waste day it will normally be skipped entirely for that month.

You may want to visit www.PaintCare.org for paint disposal options in your area.

Riverside Recycling accepts household hazardous waste (HHW) on the 1st Saturday of the month (April through November.) Collection occurs from 7:30AM to 1PM. This program is open to all Maine residents disposing of Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) from their residence. Portland E-Card holders may dispose of up to 10 gallons of HHW annually with a maximum of TWO visits at no charge (i.e. two visits of 5 gallons each visit, or one visit with 10 gallons will use up the HHW portion of your E-Card for the year). Acceptable paint, stain and varnish can be disposed of at no charge as part of the PaintCare.org program and does not go against the HHW portion of your Ecard. Residential customers without an Ecard will be charged $6.50 per gallon for liquid wastes or $3.50 per pound for solid wastes. Unfortunately, we cannot accept hazardous waste from businesses or municipalities..

How will the drop off program work?

Prepare your household hazardous waste for drop off. When preparing hazardous items for disposal at the Household Hazardous Waste Facility, be sure that liquids are in sturdy leak-proof containers with caps or lids. Use the original container whenever possible. Secure breakable or loose items inside boxes or bags. Do not mix items together. Be careful that no items spill or break when they are in your vehicle.

Bring your items to Riverside Recycling, 910 Riverside St. on the 1st Saturday of the month (April through November.) Collection occurs from 7:30AM to 1PM. When you arrive at the facility, stop at the attendant’s booth and speak with the attendant. ALL HAZARDOUS WASTE MUST BE DROPPED OFF BEFORE RECYCLING ANY OTHER ITEMS.

Follow any directions you receive at the attendant’s booth and proceed into the facility. When you pull up at the HHW facility, stay in your vehicle. The HHW staff will handle removing your items for you.

I'm not looking to sell these guys - especially if a teacher who could put them in the hands of students who could make use of them.

(wouldn't turn down any re-homing fee offered of course).

Hand made 1950's - mid 60's altos by Beaugnier in Paris (made across the street from Selmer, sometimes by the same guys).

    I just can't do alto :-/.
