  3. True friendship should be giving, kind, and steady. Like looking through the eyes of a child—simple, open, and free of transactional demands.

Was recently "dropped" by a contact because I couldn’t reply to a DM immediately. This isn't the 1st time they’ve done this; they have a history of disconnecting when others don't meet their urgent timeline. But people have lives, and true connection respects boundaries.

Spent the last few days navigating some physical inflammation—a reminder to slow down and listen to my body.

Am feeling much better now, and honestly, I feel even lighter. When someone removes themselves from your sphere because you prioritize your well-being over their instant gratification, it is not a loss. It is a gift of negative space.

Letting people go easily and without resentment is an act of deep self-respect. You protect your energy for the connections that truly add value.

Here is a song for present and future friends:

  5. Solitude is never wasted time. Choosing to be alone is a powerful way to show yourself self-respect.

I would much rather spend my day in quiet comfort. I like doing simple chores around the house or relaxing with my foster cat. Animals are easy to be around. They do not send confusing messages or make life complicated.

When it comes to people, I want to spend my time with friends who truly want to be there. True friendship should feel easy and smooth. It should never feel like a heavy duty or a hard chore.

If a relationship takes too much work just to meet up for a coffee, it is okay to step back. You do not have to force things to work.

Choosing your own company instead of confusing plans is how you protect your peace. It is how you bring energy back to your body.

Listen to what your body needs. Being alone is how we rest, heal, and find ourselves again.

  7. Your feed is a digital container. It should feel as refreshing as a walk through the forest. If you’re scrolling past constant pitches, you have permission to curate.

I’ve spent the last year letting go of what doesn't serve my nervous system—from old roles to connections that feel like friction rather than flow.

When you stop engaging with energy-draining content, you create negative space. That space is where you invite in ideas that align with your values.

We should add to each other, providing peace rather than just promotions. When a connection is purely transactional, the cost is high.

You lose bandwidth and the potential for real, two-way conversation.

Keeping these broadcast connections clutters your feed and pulls you from Glide back into Grip.

I just disconnected from a contact who used every DM to pitch me. If you have someone like this, consider this your sign to free yourself. Hitting unfollow isn't personal—it is self-respect.

  9. CW: Oxidation

Been testing ionic foot baths for nervous system regulation—not for "detoxing," but for intentional rest.

With a warm salt water circuit and electrode, we encourage systemic relaxation and lymph movement. It’s a simple way to shift from tension to ease.

True self-respect is choosing tools that help us release the day's weight. How are you building regulation into your system this week?

Feeling light and rested after this treatment.

  13. 2of2: In TCM, the eyes open to the Liver system. When we hold heavy stress, unexpressed frustration, or skip sleep, internal heat rises and the eye's tiny blood vessels act like a safety valve.

Even if resting blood pressure reads normal, a blowout means the system is under strain.

A friend had this exact issue 2 months ago and her eye completely sorted itself out in a week.

If my dad had blurry vision or pain, I would have driven him to the ER immediately. But without life-or-limb symptoms, emergency rooms offer limited help.

During COVID-19, I spent 15 grueling hours in the ER with acute pancreatitis, waiting while they figured out it was asymptomatic type 2 diabetes. In remission since then, I healed my pancreas naturally and am off insulin!

Unless it is an absolute emergency, a chaotic waiting room just adds stress. Use remote clinic checks for safety, then look at where your system is asking you to slow down and set boundaries.

  15. I’m a Ceraunophile, but the foster kitten is definitely not. Vancouver had eight thunderclaps on Tuesday night. It was exhilarating for me, but it sent her straight under the bed. When another clap happened this morning, she was scared all over again.

I spent the morning soothing her and showing her she was safe. It’s a good reminder that fear usually comes from things we don't understand. To her, the thunder is a scary threat. To me, it’s just a "sonic boom" caused by air expanding.

Understanding the "why" behind the noise changed my whole experience. I’m happy to say she is finally out from under the bed today. It’s a small win for her nervous system.

When we understand how our own systems work, we don't have to hide from the "thunder" in our lives. We can learn to regulate and stay grounded instead.

  17. I’m a Ceraunophile. That’s someone who finds deep comfort and excitement in thunder. Today in Metro Vancouver, I’ve already counted 8 claps of thunder! Each one feels like a reset for my nervous system.

There’s a cool bit of science behind this "sonic boom."

Thunder is actually the sound of air expanding. When lightning strikes, it heats the air to 30,000°C—that's 5 times hotter than the sun. This instant heat makes the air explode outward faster than the speed of sound.

Lightning and thunder are a perfect pair and happen at the exact same time. We only see the flash 1st because light travels much faster than sound. By the time the boom reaches my ears, the light has already cleared the path.

In my system work, I focus on self-respect and regulation. Sometimes we need a sonic boom in our own lives to clear the air. It helps us make space for a new frequency.

    Are you a Ceraunophile too?

  19. Today, I’m inspired by Dr. George Goodheart Jr., the founder of Applied Kinesiology. In 1964, he shifted healthcare by focusing on muscle testing to find hidden blockages. He proved that our bodies already know how to heal—we just need to remove the "static."

If you're into Lifestyle Medicine or Spatial Medicine, let's connect. Here are 3 tips to get you started:
    1. Practice intentional movement over metrics. I swim and play tennis for fun, not just to hit 10k steps or win a match.
    2. Listen to your body’s unique frequency. Pay attention to pain or discomfort as a signal to change, remove, or improve something in your day-to-day.
    3. Prioritize your physical foundation. Focus on diaphragmatic breathing, fascia, nutrition, and mindset.

  21. Food colour-code for organ healing:
Eat by colour to support your system.

This wisdom comes from the Five Elements Theory (Wu Xing) in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM).

By choosing these foods, you provide the right conditions for your body to reorganize and heal.

    1. Red (Fire Element): Targets the Heart and blood flow. Eat tomatoes or berries.

    2. White (Metal Element): Nourishes the Lungs and skin. Eat radish or pears.

    3. Black (Water Element): Strengthens the Kidneys and helps hair stay black. Eat black sesame or black beans.

    4. Green (Wood Element): Supports the Liver to detox and maintain "glide" in your system. Eat green vegetables.

    5. Yellow (Earth Element): Balances the Spleen and Stomach for better digestion. Eat squash or ginger.

Healing is about flow, not hustle.

When you feel safe and regulated, your body returns to its natural state of wellness.

  23. In my system, healing cannot happen if the body is being forced to comply.

Self-respect means honouring your body's signals instead of over-riding them with hustle.

When you respect your limits, the nervous system feels safe enough to move from a "protective grip" into a "healing glide." It is the internal pillar that allows all other habits like proper nutrition and intentional movement to actually take root.

  25. It's spring here, but while many crave cold salads and smoothies, I feel like a grandma. I am craving simmered root veggies, hearty soups, and soul food made with care.

I post about food because I notice many people only care about convenience now. They often buy things that are prepackaged or parboiled.

What happened to slow-cooking and making meals together? Call me nostalgic, but there's something powerfully sexy about feeding your partner a favourite dish you made for them.

This reminds me of a concept called **The Slow Food Effect**. It's about choosing quality and connection over speed. When we slow down to cook, we aren't just making fuel; we're building a bond.

In my work, I focus on self-respect. Real self-respect means listening to what your body actually needs, even if it isn't "trendy" for the season. Regulated bodies do better work when they're nourished with intention.

  27. Stop performing for people who do not see your value.

True power is quiet. When you stay silent, it does not mean you are gone. It means you have authority. You are in control of your own space.

Your worth is not a job interview. You do not need to "audition" for love or kindness. If people want access to your energy, they must earn it.

It feels nice when someone says "good job." But that does not change who you are. Your value comes from inside, not from a "like" or a "pat on the back."

Practice being untouchable this week. Protect your peace.

How do you protect your energy when things get loud?

  29. Sometimes the things we dislike about ourselves are not character flaws. They're signs that we have been carrying too much for too long.

Your body and mind have a limit. When you go past that limit, you might feel stuck, angry, or tired. This isn't a failure. It is a signal that you need rest.

Healing doesn't come from being harder on yourself. True change begins when you replace judgment with understanding.

You deserve kindness. Treat yourself with the same compassion you would give to someone you love.

Slow down. Breathe. You're doing better than you think.

  31. The healing secret is Negative Pressure. This is a Yin way to heal.
    (2/2)
Instead of pushing down, we lift the tissue up with electronic cupping.

Suction pulls skin and fascia away from the muscle. It creates space where there was none.

This space acts like a vacuum. It pulls fresh blood and nutrients into dry spots.

The sticky "glue" melts. It turns back into a slippery liquid. When your internal layers can slide again, we call that Liquid Silk.

You aren't just fixing one muscle. You're restoring your whole system.

This is HumanWare. These are the habits that keep your body’s hardware running smooth.

Self-respect is the master switch. It means knowing your body doesn't always need more pressure.

Sometimes, it just needs room to breathe.

  35. Why "Stillness" Heals: Why does the Mother Hand matter for your "Garden"? 🌿🌀

Think of the Mother Hand as the stake that supports a young plant.

While the Child Hand removes the "weeds" of stress and old pain using TENS or Negative Pressure Cupping, the Mother Hand provides the "Self-Respect" frequency.

Most of us spend our days feeling "un-held" or rushed. In a session, the Mother Hand:
✅ Creates a closed circuit of energy (Ki).
✅ Provides a "Reference Point" for your body to find its center.
✅ Allows the Kembiki jiggle to feel like a lullaby instead of a shake.

When you feel "Heavy Shoulders" or "Stiff Statue" syndrome, you're often lacking that "Still Anchor."

By using this 2-handed connection, we remind the body that it is supported while it does the hard work of letting go.

Healing is a conversation between Stillness and Flow. ☀️🐈‍⬛🐎🏗️🌸⚖️

  37. In Shiatsu, we never leave you "drifting." This is the secret of the "Mother Hand" (Bo-shi). ✋🏮

When I perform Kembiki (that rhythmic rocking), I always use 2 hands with 2 distinct roles:

1️⃣ The Mother Hand (Bo-shi): This hand stays still. It rests firmly on your sacrum, shoulder, or hara (centre of gravity).
It doesn't "work"; it just "Is." It says to your nervous system: "I am here. You are safe. I am holding the space."

2️⃣ The Child Hand (Ji-shi): This is the active hand that creates the rhythmic rocking or leans into the meridians.

Without the Mother Hand, the rocking of Kembiki might feel "unsteady" or chaotic. But with that constant, still connection, your brain feels safe enough to let go.

It’s the foundational grounding applied to touch: 1 hand for Stillness, 1 hand for Movement, resulting in Total Liberation from pain and stress. 🛡️✨

  39. 2 of 2: Why I love Kembiki (けんびき): From "Stiff Statue" to "Happy Noodle." 🐒

🌀In Shiatsu, we use Kembiki—a gentle, rhythmic rocking. I call it a "Full Body Jiggle." It tells your brain it’s okay to stop being a "Stiff Statue" and start being a "Happy Noodle." 🍜

    This movement:
✅ Encourages joints and muscles to release.
✅ Settles the "Fight or Flight" response.
✅ Creates flow through the whole body.

By combining the "Mother Hand" connection with negative pressure cupping to lift and clear the fascia, I’m not just pushing on muscles; I’m inviting your energy to move like a river. When we give the body the right rhythm, healing occurs naturally ☀️🐈‍⬛🐎🏗️🌸⚖️

  41. 1 of 2: Before the Needle, There Was the Hand. ✋✨

Most people think of #Acupuncture as the pinnacle of healing, but touch is the oldest medicine.

Long before tools, we instinctively rubbed our sore spots. This act—Acupressure—is the "Ancient Mother" of all we do today.

In my practice, I use modern tools like Biboting Cupping (negative pressure for fascia release) and Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation or TENS, but my hands remain the "Mapping Tools."

Whether I'm using the rhythmic rocking of Kembiki or leaning my body weight into a meridian, I’m tapping into a 3,000-year-old conversation.

Healing isn't just "fixing" a muscle; it’s listening to the body’s fluid rhythm. 🏮🛡️

  43. The Healing Crisis (3 or 3): Don’t be afraid of the "Dust"! 🧹✨

When you start clearing your Source Code, things might get messy before they get shiny. This is the Healing Crisis. My first time cupping, I broke out in acne—my skin (the biggest trash chute!) was ejecting years of stagnant waste.

By round 5, the clearing moved to my hamstrings and glutes. It’s a fascinating process of "Exhaling" what no longer serves the vessel.

The Lesson: A cough isn't always a cold, and a breakout isn't always a problem. Sometimes, it’s just your body saying "Goodbye" to the old version of you. By taking care of your Fascia, you move from Force to Power.

Are you ready to loosen the suit and let your sparkles out? Your dance floor is waiting. 😉🦁

  45. The Silver Web (1 of 3): Is your superhero suit too tight? 💃✨

Imagine you’re wearing a thin, itchy superhero suit that covers you from head to toe. If that suit is too tight, you simply can’t dance! This "suit" is real—it's called Fascia.

Think of Fascia as a thin, silver "web" wrapping around every muscle, bone, and organ. It’s your body’s internal fiber-optic network. When we get stressed or stuck in old patterns, this web gets "sticky" and tight, trapping old energy and slowing down our "Humanware" (the physical equipment of our nervous system).

To be a Hi-Fi Human, we have to keep this silver web clear and calm. When the suit is loose and shiny, you don’t just move—you flow. 🕸️🧘‍♀️

  47. 1 of 3: Passed by the Japanese Cultural Centre today on my way to drop off hospice donations and saw a mobile blood drive.

I didn't plan to, but I decided to finally donate. Giving your time and your blood is more valuable than giving money. The world needs this kind of service right now.

I booked an appointment online just an hour before I showed up to check my eligibility. I am a 1st-time donor, and the process was quick and easy.

Before I gave blood, the nurse pricked my finger. My hemoglobin score was 147. She told me that was very good. If your score is 120 or lower, you cannot donate because your body does not have enough "Oxygen-Carrying Voltage" (anemia). I felt grateful that my body is strong enough to give.

  49. Even with a Kinesiology degree, I'm still discovering how my own body works. I'm using a Push-Pull-Pulse system at WonderPoint Wellness to reclaim my vitality.

In TCM, we move "Qi" (life energy). When Qi stops, we get stagnation—the heavy sludge that causes pain. I call my cupping marks "cup kisses." They're part of a Triple Threat to that stagnation:

    1. The Push (Ultrasonic Massage): Sound waves break up stuck tissue

    2. The Pull (Cupping): Suction pulls up to create space for Qi

    3. The Pulse (TENS): Tiny electrical pulses I use to keep my nerves clear

Massage pushes down, but cupping pulls up. This is better for the fascia. Pulling creates space in the interstitium—our fluid highway—and brings in oxygen. It's more effective than sports massage or acupuncture for me. It draws waste to the surface so the body can flush it out.

I'm the architect of my own health. Follow & share your healing journey in the comments!

  51. People often tell you to look for excitement when you make a choice. But excitement is usually just noise in your nerves.

    The real signal is Resonance.

Excitement feels like force. Resonance feels like power. One wears you out, while the other builds you up.

In fast work, clarity doesn't come from thinking faster. It comes from staying stable. When your system is clear, you don't have to guess. You can sense what's next.

  53. If you feel unwell, stay home. Resting is high intelligence. It allows your body to do its real work: repair.

We're taught to value speed and prediction. But true clarity comes from perception, not just thinking.

When you are rested, your internal signal is clear. You stop guessing and start sensing. A stable body makes better decisions. It does not waste energy on protection.

Listen to your hardware before your next project. Check your back, breath, and gut. You do not need to force the next step. Your system already knows what fits.

  55. Grounding my work in 4 core values to help you live a happier and healthier life. This is what you can expect from me here:

    1. Bliss: We will find the quiet, internal joy that comes from a balanced life

    2. Fitness: We will build the physical Yang energy and strength you need to move through the world

    3. Love: We will cultivate deep self-respect and compassion for ourselves and others

    4. Wellness: We will sustain the Yin energy of rest, recovery, and holistic health

True health is a system where every part supports the whole. When we align these values, we stop performing and start living with sovereignty.

  57. True health is a system where every part supports the whole.

I envision true health as a balance between 2 forces:

    1. Fitness is your Yang energy: This is your outward energy. It provides the action and strength you need to move and perform.

    2. Wellness is your Yin energy: This is your inward energy. It provides the rest and recovery you need to heal and stay grounded.

One cannot function well without the other. When you respect both, you create a sustainable system. You stop performing for others and start living for yourself.

  59. Most people try to fix their minds while ignoring their bodies. You cannot run high-level "Software" on broken "Hardware."

I am grateful to share my system work with you. I studied Psychology and Kinesiology at UBC Vancouver because I see the human system as one integrated piece.

To fund my degree, I worked as a student teacher in gyms and community centres.

Later, I studied nutrition and culinary arts because food is my love language. I want every meal to be flavourful and nutritious!

Choosing to build a durable system is the ultimate act of Self-Respect. It is how we care for our "Hardware" so our "Software" can shine.

I’ve written a new piece about the "Magnificent 7"—the role models who shaped my work. From ancient TCM to modern engineering, these architects proved that wellness is about building a body that can handle the demands of your life.
