  1. I’m a Ceraunophile, but the foster kitten is definitely not. Vancouver had eight thunderclaps on Tuesday night. It was exhilarating for me, but it sent her straight under the bed. When another clap happened this morning, she was scared all over again.

I spent the morning soothing her and showing her she was safe. It’s a good reminder that fear usually comes from things we don't understand. To her, the thunder is a scary threat. To me, it’s just a "sonic boom" caused by air expanding.

Understanding the "why" behind the noise changed my whole experience. I’m happy to say she is finally out from under the bed today. It’s a small win for her nervous system.

When we understand how our own systems work, we don't have to hide from the "thunder" in our lives. We can learn to regulate and stay grounded instead.

  6. I’m a Ceraunophile. That’s someone who finds deep comfort and excitement in thunder. Today in Metro Vancouver, I’ve already counted 8 claps of thunder! Each one feels like a reset for my nervous system.

There’s a cool bit of science behind this "sonic boom."

Thunder is actually the sound of air expanding. When lightning strikes, it heats the air to 30,000°C—that's 5 times hotter than the sun. This instant heat makes the air explode outward faster than the speed of sound.

Lightning and thunder are a perfect pair and happen at the exact same time. We only see the flash 1st because light travels much faster than sound. By the time the boom reaches my ears, the light has already cleared the path.

In my system work, I focus on self-respect and regulation. Sometimes we need a sonic boom in our own lives to clear the air. It helps us make space for a new frequency.

    Are you a Ceraunophile too?

  7. Today, I’m inspired by Dr. George Goodheart Jr., the founder of Applied Kinesiology. In 1964, he shifted healthcare by focusing on muscle testing to find hidden blockages. He proved that our bodies already know how to heal—we just need to remove the "static."

If you want to see the roots of this restorative work, check out this documentary: Applied Kinesiology | The Best Kept Secret in Healthcare

If you're into Lifestyle Medicine or Spatial Medicine, let's connect. Here are 3 tips to get you started:
    1. Practice intentional movement over metrics. I swim and play tennis for fun, not just to hit 10k steps or win a match.
    2. Listen to your body’s unique frequency. Pay attention to pain or discomfort as a signal to change, remove, or improve something in your day-to-day.
    3. Prioritize your physical foundation. Focus on diaphragmatic breathing, fascia, nutrition, and mindset.

  8. Food colour-code for organ healing:
Eat by colour to support your system.

This wisdom comes from the Five Elements Theory (Wu Xing) in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM).

By choosing these foods, you provide the right conditions for your body to reorganize and heal.

    1. Red (Fire Element): Targets the Heart and blood flow. Eat tomatoes or berries.

    2. White (Metal Element): Nourishes the Lungs and skin. Eat radish or pears.

    3. Black (Water Element): Strengthens the Kidneys and helps hair stay black. Eat black sesame or black beans.

    4. Green (Wood Element): Supports the Liver to detox and maintain "glide" in your system. Eat green vegetables.

    5. Yellow (Earth Element): Balances the Spleen and Stomach for better digestion. Eat squash or ginger.

Healing is about flow, not hustle.

When you feel safe and regulated, your body returns to its natural state of wellness.

  13. It's spring here, but while many crave cold salads and smoothies, I feel like a grandma. I am craving simmered root veggies, hearty soups, and soul food made with care.

I post about food because I notice many people only care about convenience now. They often buy things that are prepackaged or parboiled.

What happened to slow-cooking and making meals together? Call me nostalgic, but there's something powerfully sexy about feeding your partner a favourite dish you made for them.

This reminds me of a concept called **The Slow Food Effect**. It's about choosing quality and connection over speed. When we slow down to cook, we aren't just making fuel; we're building a bond.

In my work, I focus on self-respect. Real self-respect means listening to what your body actually needs, even if it isn't "trendy" for the season. Regulated bodies do better work when they're nourished with intention.

  14. Stop performing for people who do not see your value.

True power is quiet. When you stay silent, it does not mean you are gone. It means you have authority. You are in control of your own space.

Your worth is not a job interview. You do not need to "audition" for love or kindness. If people want access to your energy, they must earn it.

It feels nice when someone says "good job." But that does not change who you are. Your value comes from inside, not from a "like" or a "pat on the back."

Practice being untouchable this week. Protect your peace.

How do you protect your energy when things get loud?

  15. The healing secret is Negative Pressure. This is a Yin way to heal.
    (2/2)
Instead of pushing down, we lift the tissue up with electronic cupping.

Suction pulls skin and fascia away from the muscle. It creates space where there was none.

This space acts like a vacuum. It pulls fresh blood and nutrients into dry spots.

The sticky "glue" melts. It turns back into a slippery liquid. When your internal layers can slide again, we call that Liquid Silk.

You aren't just fixing one muscle. You're restoring your whole system.

This is HumanWare. These are the habits that keep your body’s hardware running smooth.

Self-respect is the master switch. It means knowing your body doesn't always need more pressure.

Sometimes, it just needs room to breathe.

  21. 1 of 2: Before the Needle, There Was the Hand. ✋✨

Most people think of #Acupuncture as the pinnacle of healing, but touch is the oldest medicine.

Long before tools, we instinctively rubbed our sore spots. This act—Acupressure—is the "Ancient Mother" of all we do today.

In my practice, I use modern tools like Biboting Cupping (negative pressure for fascia release) and Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation or TENS, but my hands remain the "Mapping Tools."

Whether I'm using the rhythmic rocking of Kembiki or leaning my body weight into a meridian, I’m tapping into a 3,000-year-old conversation.

Healing isn't just "fixing" a muscle; it’s listening to the body’s fluid rhythm. 🏮🛡️

  22. The Silver Web (1 of 3): Is your superhero suit too tight? 💃✨

Imagine you’re wearing a thin, itchy superhero suit that covers you from head to toe. If that suit is too tight, you simply can’t dance! This "suit" is real—it's called Fascia.

Think of Fascia as a thin, silver "web" wrapping around every muscle, bone, and organ. It’s your body’s internal fiber-optic network. When we get stressed or stuck in old patterns, this web gets "sticky" and tight, trapping old energy and slowing down our "Humanware" (the physical equipment of our nervous system).

To be a Hi-Fi Human, we have to keep this silver web clear and calm. When the suit is loose and shiny, you don’t just move—you flow. 🕸️🧘‍♀️

  27. 1 of 3: Passed by the Japanese Cultural Centre today on my way to drop off hospice donations and saw a mobile blood drive.

I didn't plan to, but I decided to finally donate. Giving your time and your blood is more valuable than giving money. The world needs this kind of service right now.

I booked an appointment online just an hour before I showed up to check my eligibility. I am a 1st-time donor, and the process was quick and easy.

Before I gave blood, the nurse pricked my finger. My hemoglobin score was 147. She told me that was very good. If your score is 120 or lower, you cannot donate because your body does not have enough "Oxygen-Carrying Voltage" (anemia). I felt grateful that my body is strong enough to give.

  28. Even with a Kinesiology degree, I'm still discovering how my own body works. I'm using a Push-Pull-Pulse system at WonderPoint Wellness to reclaim my vitality.

In TCM, we move "Qi" (life energy). When Qi stops, we get stagnation—the heavy sludge that causes pain. I call my cupping marks "cup kisses." They're part of a Triple Threat to that stagnation:

    1. The Push (Ultrasonic Massage): Sound waves break up stuck tissue

    2. The Pull (Cupping): Suction pulls up to create space for Qi

    3. The Pulse (TENS): Tiny electrical pulses I use to keep my nerves clear

Massage pushes down, but cupping pulls up. This is better for the fascia. Pulling creates space in the interstitium—our fluid highway—and brings in oxygen. It's more effective than sports massage or acupuncture for me. It draws waste to the surface so the body can flush it out.

  33. People often tell you to look for excitement when you make a choice. But excitement is usually just noise in your nerves.

    The real signal is Resonance.

Excitement feels like force. Resonance feels like power. One wears you out, while the other builds you up.

  34. In my last post, I mentioned Qigong as a way to return to your natural flow.

Think of it as the grandfather of Tai Chi. It is a very old system from China used for healing.

"Qi" means energy or life force. "Gong" means work or practice. So, Qigong is the practice of working with your energy.

It is a series of slow, gentle movements mixed with deep breathing.

In our Resonant Life OS, we use Qigong to clear the "static" or stress from our nervous system.

When you move slowly and breathe deeply, you tell your body it is safe. This turns off the "Force" (stress) and turns on your "Power" (natural energy).

    Why I recommend Qigong:
    1. easy for any body type or age
    2. helps you listen to the signals your body is sending
    3. makes your smile feel soft and natural again

When we practice these movements, we are not "fixing" ourselves. We are just removing the blocks so our natural health can shine through.

I will share a simple move you can try at home very soon.

  35. Wellness is your natural state. Your body was designed to feel good, to be strong, and for you to have a soft, gentle smile. This is the baseline of your system.

When we feel "dis-ease" or sickness, it is not an enemy. It is a signal from your body. It is a blinking light telling you to slow down. It is an invitation to relax and take a deep breath.

In my Resonant Life OS, we treat these signals with deep reverence. We do not fight the body. We listen deeper. We ask the system what it needs to return to its natural flow.

Moving from "Force" to "Power" means learning to trust these signals. When you stop fighting and start breathing, you return to your center. This is where your strength lives. This is where your smile becomes natural again.

Health is not something you have to chase. It is something you return to by removing the noise of stress.

Recommend Qigong (grandfather to taichi) to return to your flow. Will share more soon.

  36. I want to introduce the concept of Biological Debt. Most leaders focus on their mindset, but they forget that the body stores the "debt" of past stress and unprocessed grief.

When this debt gets too high, your energy highways (meridians) become blocked. This is why you feel "heavy," tired, or stuck in brain fog. You cannot lead with a system that is crashing.

I am anchoring this work in the idea of Self-Respect. Choosing to pay off your biological debt with a Somatic Audit is how you maintain your architecture.

It makes your boundaries un-hackable and your leadership effortless. I have written a full article explaining how to flush the "old code" from your system and what to expect during a healing crisis.
