  13. I think my social anxiety is rooted in my autism. Not a separate disorder sitting next to it, but a learnt response built up over years of social situations not going as expected. Misread cues, masking exhaustion, rejection. The brain learnt that social situations are costly. Anxiety was just the conclusion it reached.
