    A very practical book for anyone who wants to change something in their life or move closer to a goal.

    The ideas are simple, clear, and easy to apply. Some of them I was already using intuitively, but a few insights felt genuinely fresh — and definitely worth much more than the time spent reading the book.

  20. Have learned a LOT of great tips from #AtomicHabits. I would say the advice on optimizing your environment is the most useful of all, based on the rule “make it obvious”. I did this, and continue to do it, around the house and it really helps to trigger good habits. Newly done today: one of my M1 laptops easily accessible on the sofa in my secondary sunny TV room.   34. Even the basic word - habit - was problematic. Each word that can be translated into English habit sounds off to me. I decided to go with “nawyk” as even the famous “Atomic Habits” is translated that way, but I’m still not happy. 😅

  36. I started #reading more seriously this month too — and by that I mean reading at all. The first #book I finished this March is #AtomicHabits, I think this book has the potential to literally change my life, there's so much actionable, logical, really great advice here, I could not recommend it enough.

  37. Does a computer desk belong in the dining room? Nope. But it’s on my route and in the area I frequent the most. #AtomicHabits says the four keys to building a habit are “make it obvious, make it attractive, make it easy, and make it satisfying”. The new setup saves me being forced to retreat into the man cave at back of house to do important computer stuff like job search and bill paying. Sunlight out in the backyard w/ pool is an additional incentive. Can have TV going as well. I’m happy w/it.

Set up the small dining table initially to use as a job hunt workstation, but yesterday I repurposed the wife’s IKEA desk for the task. Much more ergonomic. Dining table goes up for sale today. Bonus 1: sunlight in mid winter. Bonus 2: wife’s desktop speakers are WAY better than the built-in monitor ones (and of course the #MacMini’s!)
