Interesting that US since 2002 was predicting in their war game Millennium Challenge that #straitofhormuz could close if they took military action against Iran
Threat of Strait of Hormuz closure has been assessed and reassessed continuously over last 24 years by US intelligence. It is impossible that US or Trump could be "taken by surprise" by the current Iranian actions, as Obama was by the idea in 2012.
