@Natteheks That reminds me of one of my all-time favourite childrens' books when I was young, "Nature's Smallest Gravedigger". I still have it, so here are some photos from it.
It is all about the life of the American burying beetle, *Nicrophorus americanus*, and, remarkably, it was one in a whole series by Golden Books called Nature's Sanitation Corps.
The book was written by Victoria Cox and Stan Applebaum with illustrations by Dorothea Barlowe and it was published way back in 1974. My Nana gave it to me in 1977 (yes, I'm old).
I still think it's a marvellous book. I like how all the illustrations are accurate depictions of the animals exactly as they are, not simplified down and sanitized for children.

I really liked Scavengers Reign. Really beautiful, profound, heartfelt and I'm craving more. It's upsetting and bittersweet that it's on HBO given what they did to Infinity Train. I don't think they have the reverence to handle these properties, and the creators the way they should, and consumer-trust has been broken.

更新的6集看完了，目前还要等周更。现在这动画短剧热度才刚起来。非常推荐去看，友情提醒，这作的精神能量比想象中黑暗，俗称后劲足，看完之后一些画面情绪会反复闪回，虽然海报的调调干净治愈，实际观感可能不是这么回事。（我就是先中意的海报，再去看内容的）喜欢这种脑容量奇大的创作，虽然观看过程有时候感觉诡异，有时候感觉不太明白，感觉不太真实，还是会身不由己非常投入地被这些情境带着去体验，并在体验过程里得到很大满足。
情绪一般是人和人接触的一个触点，当创作者能够把这种触点状的情绪体验网织成一个过程，去向人完整地表达和传递，我就更倾向于把这种称之为精神能量。
这些创作者他们注视着一些其它人看不到的东西，抵达了某些无人境，可能实际生活里面没有太大意义，不过精神困顿想要找路的时候，他们插下来的旗帜会有帮助的吧。以及，这个世界真的到处都是鬼东西，到处都是物理意义上的人，奇怪的是，这些人又都在满世界寻找真正精神意义上的那个“人”，设想它的样子，赞美它，喜欢它，鄙夷它，恐惧它，又毁灭它。——比如剧里的机器人Levi。
这对我来说，才是真正世界黑暗的所在。 -

I'm featuring an ecosystem rather than an organism this #MarineLifeMonday. Lasting for only a short time but providing a bonanza for #DeepSea life, a #whale fall occurs when a whale dies and sinks to the #ocean floor. The carcass provides rare #nutrients for a range of #scavengers, from microscopic bacteria to huge sharks. The whale fall shown here is an artificial one on display at the #MontereyBayAquarium, where spider #crabs, giant #isopods, and jawless #hagfish occupy a #SpermWhale skeleton.
