Had a warning in my app’s logs about some old unused in-app purchase products that the RevenueCat SDK was unhappy about. The products haven’t been used for years. So I asked RC’s support about the warnings. I don’t think I’ve ever had as informative and great responses ever to a support request, and I’m not (yet) even a paying customer. Friendly, professional and informative. Made my day. :)

Questions about #StoreKit 2 for #Mac apps: Do I really need a server to verify and validate receipts? From what I understand, this can be done locally on-device, but that may be susceptible to tampering.
On #iOS, this seems less of an issue as jailbreaking would usually be required to crack the app. On the #Mac, however, things are quite different. Should I be looking at third-party solutions such as #FreemiumKit, #RevenueCat or #Superwall instead?

I am quite happy about these numbers for my crappy little app. I was fearful that all users would abandon it when I enabled mandatory subscriptions in August. Been performing better than expected. Will probably not last though.
My subscription price is really low at 6€ for a year. Basically a tenth of what an average user would spend in a day on the hobby this app caters to.

It would be awesome if the @revenuecat iOS app had even a tiny bit more graphs and information. Now it’s extremely bare bones and in reality just a simple table, something a new iOS developer makes as their first test app in an afternoon. The web page has all data one could imagine, but it’s annoying to use on a mobile device. Either make the app decent or just remove it.

So RevenueCat or the StoreKit 2 API? I’ve been hearing tons of great things about RevenueCat. Assuming I go with it, any tips on getting started?

I wonder if this error from RevenueCat is important or whether it's just Apple's sandbox being broken as usual. The same error comes a couple of time when my app starts up. RC has been very solid over the years though, while Apple's backends are mostly a joke, so my money is on the sandbox being broken.

When your #iOS app doesn't have user accounts (no sign up/log in & no uuid provided by a server), how do you manage identity in analytics and reporting tools? Leave everything anonymous? Pass a UUID as a custom attribute?
I currently create my own UUID that I use for #RevenueCat, #Amplitude and #Sentry. This way I can find a user across the different tools for support. But I don’t handle multi devices: the same user will count multiple times and I won’t have a way to view the full user journey.
