I read Jim Chalmers’ essay in #TheMonthly. I like that our Treasurer reads widely & thinks about the difficult & complex issues we face as a society, and doesn’t just think in economic terms.
But I t’s difficult to feel optimistic about this government’s ability to improve quality of life for all Australians when there are two policies which remain unaddressed: the refusal to #RaiseTheRate to match the poverty line, and the Stage 3 tax cuts, which will increase inequality. #AusPol #ABC730

Just finished my Telehealth appointment as per previous toots, too unwell to go in person.
Whilst my GP has done his best to accommodate me, I can no longer afford medical care.
Many others like me are now foregoing medical/mental health.
Go on #DSP to stabilise health - can’t afford to survive on social security - try & fail in finding work - deteriorates further. This merry go round is fvcking exhausting.

Even so, it is incredibly difficult to afford a haircut when you are living on $12.64 a day.
So best to get it all off and cut down visits.
