Arrestato l’11 novembre 2025 dalle forze di sicurezza, è ancora nel carcere di Evin in custodia cautelare. Le autorità hanno negato la libertà su cauzione nonostante le richieste della famiglia. Membro della comunità bahá’í, ha già subito persecuzioni per il suo attivismo e le sue convinzioni religiose.
