    Pulley & Negative Progression Records have released an incredible video today for the song “Torn Apart By Time.” This creative masterpiece was brought to life by Justin Wilson known for the “Filmage: The Story of Descendents/ALL” & “A Fat Wreck” documentaries, as well as videos for the bands Die Spitz and Riverboat Gamblers.

    “Torn Apart By Time” off of their “Split Personality” 7” with Fire Sale is still available in the NPR webstore, so don’t forget to pick up that wax.

  7. I wish we could find a better solution than grub screws for attaching pulleys to shafts in 3D printing. Small-scale requirements make it difficult to use other industrial systems.

    Grub screws often loosen under the effect of vibration even with Loctite. They also introduce eccentricity. And the tip of the grub screws marks the shaft, making it difficult to remove the pulley.

    Any idea how we could improve this?

  13. Things didn't change much for a long time. They went from being driven by a #belt and #pulley to direct drive, because that's a little more #efficient, and there's no belt to have to inspect and replace (or worse, snap in the middle of winter).

    But as houses became better-sealed and #insulated, a couple of things became issues.

    (1) Because the furnace wasn't running as much - not as much cold #air #leaking in, and #heat leaking out through the walls - the air stratifies.
