I’ve just picked up a package with my new toy - #derailleur #hanger #alignment #tool.

I’ve been bugged by pesky hangers going bad all the time and I’ve also had to replace a hanger a few times, because it was impossible to straighten it by eyeballing it.

Just used the tool for the first time and the shifting is spot on after only 5 minutes of work.

Best €25 I’ve spent recently on my #cycling hobby!

I must say, #SRAM has built a tank of a #derailleur… #AXS #Eagle hit with a car has just hidden itself under the frame with only minor scuffs and returned to a proper position. #AXS FTW!

The hanger is only SLIGHTLY bent. Didn’t even notice right away.

Nästan alla kedjeväxlar vill flytta kedjan till svåraste växeln. Det behövs vajerspänning för att dra kedjan till lättare växlar. På de flesta moderna cyklar saknar det betydelse, men om man har framväxel, eller gammaldags friktionsreglage, så är kedjeväxlarna ologiska och ibland opraktiska. There's noticeable slack in all the pivot joints of the M3100. There's no noticeable slack in the XT. It feels like a single piece. The result of this difference is misshifts like sometimes going one gear higher then back to the desired one, or otherwise some shifts taking longer between gears.
