  13. Viy is a 1967 Soviet gothic horror film based on a Gogol story. A girl's corpse doesn't want to stay dead. Wildly imaginative, crazy, perfectly captures the feel of folk legends and fairy tales. Creepy, spooky, with inspired fantastic imagery.
