You might think The Third Eye (1966) will be gothic horror but it's more of a Hitchcockian thriller in the mould of Psycho. There are puzzling murders and the characters (all of them unstable) respond in unsettling ways. Creepy and fascinating.

Lady Morgan’s Vengeance is a 1965 Italian gothic horror movie. In a spooky castle a woman is going slowly mad. It doesn't slot neatly into any one genre, there are some interesting narrative techniques. While it's no masterpiece it's enjoyable.

Art-house meets giallo in Tinto Brass’s Deadly Sweet (1967). Has a Pop Art verging on psychedelia visual style. Imagine a giallo made as an homage to Blow-Up but in the style of a Guido Crepax comic. Quirky, witty and slightly perverse. Superb.
