Either way, my point still stands. How can you call a paper on social monogamy "genius" when the measurement for monogamy is largely genetics?

Monogamy, mating systems, and marriage are very different things. And this paper conflates them into a single one. You saying "Turns out we've been fairly #monogamous these last 7000 years!" is a bad generalization expected from bad scientific journalism, not from a self reported "Radical Antrhopologist".

If you want I can give you a more accurate alternative, which is: "Turns out our mating systems, as understood by biological frameworks, is fairly monogamous! Which is not to say that humans are mostly monogamous!" But that is not so catchy.

Anyways, my suggestion for you is to reflect on the reason for calling yourself a "Radical Anthropologist". If you will keep falling for the same biological essentialist tropes, how is that radical?

Being radical is not just a tag or calling your study group that way, but using a critical lens when reading anthropological papers. Even more when reading evolutionary antrhopology, which, as a branch of biological anthropology, is far behind in properly accounting for ethnocentrism. Be radical, don't just call yourself that.
