Today's #MidweekMuseum is Bangsbo Fort and Bunker Museum, located in Frederikshavn, Denmark. This World War 2 structure is a series of wartime bunkers built as part of Germany's Atlantic Wall coastal defences. Fabulous views out from this high vantage point, and the various bunkers you can enter and large guns you can see up close give a good feel for conditions of the time.

This is not your normal turf house, as it was a wealthy manor house and vicarage. There's a church there you can visit too, but the house is the main star, and is TARDIS-like in its size inside with corridors and rooms off everywhere in the grassy landscape.

One of our most-visited #museums for this week's #MidweekMuseum recommendation, because it's fairly close to us. This is #Beaulieu, both the home of the national #CarMuseum and also a medieval house, extensive grounds, abbey ruins, and a monorail. If you like #cars then this is the place to go. Everything from the earliest motors up to the latest Formula 1 vehicles.

My #MidweekMuseum recommendation (yes, I'm still persisting) is #Amberley in #WestSussex, a little north of #Arundel. It's an open air #museum with plenty of indoor spaces filled with #vintage equipment. Craftspeople working, kilns, rooms dedicated to #audio or #video or #phones, various decades in homes, vehicles (ride the vintage bus or train there), etc. You can also see props from and the mine entrance used for Operation Mine Strike in the #JamesBond movie A View to a Kill.
