I've got a problem with my Notebook, which runs with Mint:
While watching a movie over my beamer (sound comes over my PA, the problem remains when the beamer plays the sound as well), the sound and movement of lips are asynchronous, which is quite annoying. I look online to find a solution, but found nothing.Have you any idea what to do?

Letzte Woche hat meine Mama gefragt, ob ich ihr Linux auf ihrem Laptop installieren kann. Ja klar 🤩
Heute war es dann so weit und mal sehen, wie sie mit Linux mint klar kommt. Ich bin schon seit Jahren bei Ubuntu. Aber so gut, wie das aussah, habe ich jetzt für den Familienrechner auch auf Mint gewechselt 😄
Auf meinem Arbeitsrechner will ich vor Ende des Schuljahrs jetzt nix ausprobieren …

Не так давно мне попался ноутбук Acer TravelMate B1 TMB118 с 4 ГБ DDR4. Благодаря размеру и маленькому потреблению он идеально подошел под эксплуатацию в виде печатной машинки и простенького редактора кода. Но именно этот малыш заставил меня задуматься: на какие уступки можно пойти по памяти, чтобы комфортно выполнять свою работу. В эпоху, когда комплект из 32 ГБ RAM DDR5 стоит в среднем 40 000 рублей, что сопоставимо с ценой бюджетного ноутбука, интересно, насколько можно опустить планку и существовать на современной системе. Привет, Хабр! Да, так уж получилось, что следующий обзор вышел быстро. Это потому, что я много набрал гаджетов в прошлом году и теперь разгребаю уже оттестированное. На этот раз я взял моноблок. Это устройство бралось с конкретной целью — в подарок близкому человеку. Также было 3 дополнительных фактора. Первый — я уже делал обзор на российский моноблок «Бештау». Второй — я уже обозревал технику от iRU. Третий — я поддался на панику из‑за проблем с памятью и купил побыстрее по той цене, что была, тем более была хорошая скидка. Sagt mal wenn ich bei Bottels ein Windoof Programm installiert habe wie bekomm ich das hin, dass ich bei #linux_mint das Programm bei mir im Startmenü finde? Auf die 3 Punkte neben dem Programm hab ich schon geklickt & dort find ich nur was fürn Desktopsymbol & bei Steam hinzufügen. Letzteres hat mich etwas verwirrt aber okay. Jedenfalls tut keins der beiden was ich möchte bzw eigentlich tun die gar nichts zumindest ist mir nichts aufgefallen.Habt ihr da Lösungen? #did #linuxdesktop #linuxhelp

Ich bin technisch jetzt nicht ganz so schlecht unterwegs, dennoch habe ich es nicht geschafft, mein altes Minecraftkonto zu #Microslop zu migrieren.
Gute Nachricht: Das ist heutzutage kein Problem mehr, da es zum Glück das OpenSource-Game Luanti gibt! Es gibt darin viele Spielversionen und Mods und eine nette Community. Es ist natürlich kostenfrei und hat sogar einen Linux-Client. Das war mir wichtig, weil hier natürlich alle Linux (aktuell Mint) verwenden.
Ich habe jetzt kurz für die ganze Familie auf einem alten Raspberry Pi einen eigenen Luanti-Server für uns privat aufgesetzt.
Wir spielen in Luanti die Version Asuna, die ihr hier im Screenshot bewundern könnt. Alle sind begeistert 😍

throwing out a Linux and iPhone question here
I have an iPhone 17 on iOS 26.3, and I can't access my photos from it on my (up to date) Linux Mint laptop.
Accessing the photos on a Win11 box shows that there is an additional step "allow access to photos?" requiring confirmation on the iPhone side with Win11, that isn't coming up on the Linux box.
I have been able (on iOS 18, a mini 12) to download iPhone photos previously
Any thoughts on how to resolve?
I can see the iPhone in the file system, and idevicepair says that the device is paired and available, so I suspect it's the one additional confirmation step that I see on Windows11 that is the issue.
