Just for context: This Injunction isn't a ruling on the case, only that the plaintiff would suffer irreparable harm if it were not enacted while the case is adjudicated, that the legal arguments for the defense would not ameliorate the free exercise clause and so doesn't require continued enforcement during adjudication, and so the balance of inequities tips towards the plaintiffs.

To be clear... UCLA's defense is that they had to help keep Jews out in order to prevent violence from escalating out of control. Which is a REALLY bad argument, especially if they get a ruling that says this is true. Only phyrric victory is available.

The state of "Left Wing" discourse, maintaining absolutely no sense of irony.

Just genuinely unbelievable to me that they're literally talking about the exact same people, saying the exact same things about them, but are so lacking in self-awareness that they think, despite being identical, there is some meaningful difference.

It's the height of "I hate antisemites, but I won't defend the Jew" discourse.

@dukepaaron is totally 100% right that neither Pritzker (though he never would be picked anyways) nor Shapiro nor any other Jew can be selected or this shit will get massively worse.

Democrats so far haven't pandered to the radicals on our end of the horseshoe, and I think that's helping us survive.

It's also been long enough, with the Left side of the horseshoe being sidelined while seeing their counterparts getting what they want, that most of them are openly defecting to the other party in hopes of getting a better shot at power than Democrats are willing to give them.

Far Left podcasters, journalists, even a handful of elected officials flirted with it up through 2020. Then 2022, putting them on their heels and empowering the Dem base, came the wholesale defection of people like Greenwald and Rogan and Chapo and Jacobin and such to arguing Dems are worse and Trump is preferable.

Now we have a handful of the elected officials joining in on it publicly, notable exception of AOC who is now an enemy for not.

Apparently the Twitter "Left" has decided to promote the joke that the yellow in the pride flag stands for watersports in a wild bankshot attempt to own the "Zionists" (for making a variant with a wider yellow band for the yellow hostage ribbons) and I am just stunned at how much these people have to be steeped in far right bigotries for something like this to even occur to them in the first place.

It's not like the far-right propaganda outlets are even that subtle about trying to make people think the Pride flag stands for extreme kinks, and not exactly a secret that this is getting laws passed restricting rights and getting people killed.

But at least their friends will get a cheap laugh out of the particular way they're spreading deadly right wing propaganda. 🤮🤮🤮🤮
