Yeah, including a number of people desperately trying to get somebody to stop saying "Jewish Lobby" and explaining that he's supposed to call it the "Israel Lobby", otherwise it is bigotry.

And then the people helpfully debating where Holocaust survivors should have been allowed to live, including the lovely individual (whom I have blocked over this kind of thing) proposing they should have been banned from leaving the countries that just killed their whole family and tried to kill them.

The "Holocaust is a morality tale for Non-Jews" as opposed to, y'know, real fucking human beings being murdered by their neighbours is just the absolute default belief for people on the left at this point. It is why they treat Palestinian life the same. The goal isn't to save lives; it is to test and demonstrate European/Christian virtue

Just for context: This Injunction isn't a ruling on the case, only that the plaintiff would suffer irreparable harm if it were not enacted while the case is adjudicated, that the legal arguments for the defense would not ameliorate the free exercise clause and so doesn't require continued enforcement during adjudication, and so the balance of inequities tips towards the plaintiffs.

To be clear... UCLA's defense is that they had to help keep Jews out in order to prevent violence from escalating out of control. Which is a REALLY bad argument, especially if they get a ruling that says this is true. Only phyrric victory is available.

Darkly funny that this same group (I check on from time-to-time: a sort of "normie antisemitism barometer") now has people "aghast and shocked" at how some Americans are going "too far" issuing threats and slurs at minorities who push back against racism.

For those who haven't been following developments on this front, some #FromTheLeft have started putting out videos, dressed in an attempt to mimic Hamas/ISIS, talking about how they're going to target "Killer Kamala", as well as others screaming at Black people for backing Democrats (quelle suprise!) and calling out the misogynoir against Kamala.

To be sure, none of the people in the Fandom seem to be reevaluating how they treated/are treating Jews, who have all either fled or been silenced.

People genuinely thought this shit would fly with people who actually do have political power because so few defended the puppetmasters who controlled everything.

Bigotry makes people dumb.

Democrats have expanded Medicare every year they have been in power Federally, and in every State in which they have been in power.

what about funding free trade schools and higher Ed?

Biden has forgiven billions in student loan debts, wiping out the debts of millions of students around the country, adding thousands every month.

How about less war spending and funding domestic social programs?

Biden ended the war in Afghanistan, the longest running war in US history. It caused the single greatest drop in his polling numbers in his entire term. That's besides almost entirely ending the drone war from its peak under Trump.

Oh, and he passed the two largest domestic infrastructure bills in US history and empowered the IRA to finally target the wealthy.

You can just put on the hat, you know? You don't need to put on this little show...

A good heuristic is that anybody who uses that term and actually thinks it means anything has completely stopped talking about QAnon in any other context than criticizing Democrats.

And lo and behold, if you check her Twitter feed, the last time she mentioned QAnon was to say Matt Yglesias was QAnon for saying TikTok is bad. Any other kind of mention has been entirely scrubbed from her account.

In total fairness, they have started to harass any non-Jew that calls out their racism too, with some bringing home the MENA habit of accusing them of being Jewish too (the worst insult they can think of). Biden, for example, gets shit constantly for calling it out, which is why they escalated to saying he's worse than Trump.

The groups they'll leave alone are the non-Jews who support Israel in concrete ways but don't cross some red line like standing up for American Jews.

Mike Pence is fine, and obviously Trump is better than Biden. Mike Johnson doesn't get accused of secretly being a Jew colonizer, but Ritchie Torres is either secretly a Hebrew or just controlled by (((our))) money.

A really good example would be the entire RFK and Cornell West campaigns and all associated hangers-on, as a spectrum from the parts of the Left horseshoe who are now openly far right (RFK's campaign) and which just prefer the right to the Democrats right now (Cornell West's).

Both are fairly openly coordinating with far right funding, logistical support, and media and focusing on swing states. Now, it looks like RFK's campaign got too much in bed with the GOP to keep pulling Dems, which is why they started coordinating with West too.

Democrats so far haven't pandered to the radicals on our end of the horseshoe, and I think that's helping us survive.

It's also been long enough, with the Left side of the horseshoe being sidelined while seeing their counterparts getting what they want, that most of them are openly defecting to the other party in hopes of getting a better shot at power than Democrats are willing to give them.

Far Left podcasters, journalists, even a handful of elected officials flirted with it up through 2020. Then 2022, putting them on their heels and empowering the Dem base, came the wholesale defection of people like Greenwald and Rogan and Chapo and Jacobin and such to arguing Dems are worse and Trump is preferable.

Now we have a handful of the elected officials joining in on it publicly, notable exception of AOC who is now an enemy for not.

Apparently the Twitter "Left" has decided to promote the joke that the yellow in the pride flag stands for watersports in a wild bankshot attempt to own the "Zionists" (for making a variant with a wider yellow band for the yellow hostage ribbons) and I am just stunned at how much these people have to be steeped in far right bigotries for something like this to even occur to them in the first place.

It's not like the far-right propaganda outlets are even that subtle about trying to make people think the Pride flag stands for extreme kinks, and not exactly a secret that this is getting laws passed restricting rights and getting people killed.

But at least their friends will get a cheap laugh out of the particular way they're spreading deadly right wing propaganda. 🤮🤮🤮🤮

For those wondering where we are at in the mainstreaming of Antisemitism on the American left, we have Vox citing a compilation document composed of (please understand, not an exaggeration, but literally) The Dearborn Independent of 1929 (cited repeatedly), Fagin, Shylock, and anti-Jewish pogroms in Russia, the ME, and Europe (to name the least nuanced and most indefensible examples) to demonstrate the long tradition of American radical Anti-Zionism as their argument against underlying antisemitism.

Two fairly important takeaways vis-a-vis US Politics:

1. This kind of embrace of the extreme antisemitic fringe is where the Republicans were in 2015 that ended up swallowing the entire right wing of the country.
2. Contrary to 2015 (or just like 2015, depending on how you look at it), these "Leftists" openly loathe and oppose Democrats generally, Biden specifically.

A reminder that Trump non-voters #FromTheLeft know and don't dispute that Trump is more pro-Israel and anti-Palestinian (the one that matters). That's why they insist it doesn't matter who is worse.

Trump is "better" on the policy that they care about: harassing Jewish neighbours. The thing that revolts us (emboldening violent bigotry against neighbours they hate and feel have it coming) is both his signature policy and the one that swung them this time.

Regardless of whether they want to attack neighbours under the guise of Genocide or Groomers or Thugs or Terrorists, the fact that the actual issues (civilian deaths, pedophilia, male violence, political violence) are better addressed by Biden is unconvincing. The solution they want is not for them to be lessened or redressed, but to give them an excuse to target the marginalized, a policy offered by Trump and opposed by Dems.

We need to be grateful for all who at least don't vote for the Leopards, even if they cheer on Eating Faces.

Just a reminder that the reason your friends aren't talking about the (still ongoing) protests against Hamas in Rafah is because the only thing that excites them about supporting Palestinians is the opportunity to either celebrate dead Jews abroad, or attack their Jewish neighbours, and this provides them neither.

Yeah, but they wish Democrats weren't. They hate that Dems are protecting abortion rights and LGBTQ in their states. That Democrats have cancelled tens of millions in student loans, pulled out of Afghanistan, ended the drone war, finally gone after spam/scam callers, overdraft fees, put Black people (especially women) in positions of power (most especially the Judiciary), and strengthened unions. Off the top of my head.

They say it from their deep blue states, living in a big city, never interacting with any Republican who isn't an older relative that spent their whole lives telling them Democrats are the embodiment of evil.

And when the young ones get older, they follow in their Republican parents' footsteps: ranting about how they don't object to taxes in theory, but the government wastes it indoctrinating kids into things they themselves don't believe, complaining about foreign aid (the tiniest portion of the budget), how minority voters who form the base of the Democratic party don't know what's good for them, and the wrong kind of people infiltrating America.

Once you have known enough of these kinds of people on a personal level, the similarities in rhetoric start to make a lot more sense.

One thing I have noticed about that is that while the Leftists tend to be white, most of the people of color I have seen are fairly openly far right.

Some are Middle Eastern-style far right (think: Nation of Islam), some are US-style far right (think: Ron Paul, Gab, Proud Boy) but most white people can't tell the difference because they hate Democrats (like them) and are Black or Arab (thus, not Republicans) and white leftists are unfamiliar enough with non-white spaces that they arent familiar with non-Republican right wingers in minority communities.

For that kind of white Leftist, that means the person is #FromTheLeft, no matter what the actual content of their statements and positions: from repeated "Good guy with a gun" rhetoric, anti-Democracy "they just don't know what's good for them", to ZOG.

Edit to add specificity

Not to make too big a point of it, but we had Heather Hayer 2.0 and nobody cares because:

1. He was killed at a rally against "Zionists" but #FromTheLeft; and
2. The person killed was Jewish

Both were on videotape.
Both had the "protestors" shouting thar Jews won't replace them.
Both were part of a nationwide series of funded protests.
Both were participating in the counterprotests to the above.
Both were killed during ambient violence that had been happening for a while at others and finally escalated into one being killed.

But his death won't be emblematic of anything because nobody cares enough for us.
