EDIT: Looks like Mastodon Social removed the post after enough complaints, but they kept the user around.

I find their decisions around who to keep and who not to keep highly suss.

In my experience, they will remove people who say "Jews" directly, but "hasbarist babykiller trash", they keep, showing that if you want to be on Mastodon Social, use dog whistles!

When people say they're happy I keep Babka going, I appreciate it. I really do.

But then if Babka exists, why would I start a new site? Why put two years and a small fortune into something else?

Because I'm sick of waking up every day to Jew hatred.

I'm sick of the daily blood libel, the accusations that saying "Jew shouldn't be murdered in the streets" is akin to "complicity in genocide". I'm sick of the justification of the attacks on Jewish children in Canada as "resistance".

I'm sick of the fact that when I talk about this stuff, the positive responses I get primarily come from Jews and Germans.

I'm sick of the likes I get when I post something other than antisemitism from people who won't support my messages about literally my own life and my family's lives.

I'm sick of the hypocrisy and the tacit hate.

That's why I'm building something new, because I deserve better and other Jews deserve better than the way we're treated here.

It's not an isolated incident. She also advocates for discriminating against any Israeli- no matter who they are, what they believe, etc. This person is genuinely unhinged. But far worse is that Mastodon Social allows this to go on. Maybe they'll remove a single post (or not) but they platform these people, every day.

We see:

1. A post on and in response to the Jewish New Year one of the two High Holidays of the Jewish calendar, the most important days of the year

2. The poster twisting the meaning of "Am Yisrael Chai", a phrase that Jews have used for 3,000 years, to be about quote "genocide", a reference to the war in Gaza by the Israeli government

3. This person accusing Jewish children who eat apples, a Jewish tradition of celebrating the New Year of being "privileged" (apparently eating apples makes one privileged?)

4. Accuses Jewish children of "already contemplating how to genetically breed away the skin ", which is as hateful as it is confusing (children contemplating breeding away skin?!)

Mastodon Social allows this, not just in this post, but every day content like this.

By allowing these posts, it's as complicit in hate speech is equal to X, TikTok, Facebook, etc.

On a post about Michigan, a US state, this Jew hater says that American Jews should 'Get their PM to stop the extermination of people who aren't "Jewish!" '' and then complains about "The Jewish government".

Blaming American Jews for the actions of Israel, etc. and pushing the idea that American Jews run Israel is a common Jew Hating trope.

Non-Jews, please remember to stand up to hate and report this. It's critical that if if you care about Jews that you stand up to hatred like this and show that it doesn't have a place.

Often when there's Jew hatred on the Fediverse, other Jew haters come out and support it, shouting down Jews.

In this case, the OP is saying that Jews run Hollywood and have created an environment for hating Arabs.

A Jew steps in and says "Hey wait, do you realize this is antisemitic" and then is yelled at, has claims of "false Jews" thrown at them, has their mental health questioned, etc.

The head of the Netherlands official government education instance is at it again spreading hate.

The fact is that Ben Gvir's party *is* a minority party, with just about 10% support in Israel. It's an extremist fringe party that is only in power because they keep the current coalition together.

Blaming Jews for violent antisemitism is vile.

This is one step from "Hitler must have had a reason..."

In this case, the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem had spread hate and fear that Jews were going to "take over" and this sparked an Arab pogrom of Jews in Mandatory Palestine, with over 130 Jews killed and over 400 Jews injured.

This was exactly the kind of violence that the Jews in Mandatory Palestine were experiencing that made them feel they needed a representative government and directly addresses the lie that "everything was peaceful until Israel".
