Is it possible to jump between chapters in Castro? I’m trying to figure it out, but I’m not seeing any buttons or controls in the player to move between chapters. Am I missing something, or is this not currently supported?
Would love to know how others are handling this, especially from an accessibility standpoint.

Good news for blind and low vision users. The latest Facebook update appears to have fixed the back button issue. Navigation is feeling much smoother and more reliable again with VoiceOver.
Really glad to see this improvement. Accessibility fixes like this make a big difference in everyday use.
If you were struggling with the back button before, it might be worth updating and trying again.

Hi everyone — hope you’re doing well.
Quick question: is there a third-party app for iPhone or iPad that lets you customize the sound of the on-screen typing keyboard?
I already use a Mac app called Loud Typer (found through AppleVis) that changes the key-click sounds, and I’m wondering if there’s something similar for iOS or iPadOS.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

Hi everyone! How’s your day going?
I’m really excited—my new iPhone 16 Pro Max is arriving tomorrow! 🎉📱
I got a refund from my university’s financial aid office, probably because I had to drop a course due to being sick. After talking it over with my mom, we agreed I needed something positive to look forward to after everything I’ve been through lately.
I’m still recovering from a severe reaction to a medication I was prescribed, and my rheumatoid arthritis has me mostly bedridden. My current phone, an iPhone 13 Mini, is showing its age and not running well. I’ve been using a Pixel 9 Pro through the Google Accessibility Trusted Testers program, but I’ve always preferred iPhones—so I used part of the refund to order a new one from Apple today. It’s scheduled to arrive tomorrow, and I can’t wait!
We’re also planning to launch a GoFundMe soon to help me upgrade my Braille display. The one I have is a few years old, and my dream device is the Handy Tech Activator. My mom really wants to help me get it, and I’m so grateful.
Tonight, I’m planning to reset my old Apple Watch to give to my mom. It’s not working well for me anymore—especially with the pain in my wrists and hands—and it’s too focused on fitness. I tried using it for health tracking, but it wasn’t a good fit for how I manage things now.
Thanks for reading, and I hope you’re all doing okay. 💜

My #iPhone15Pro keeps running hot! sometimes, it gets so hot I can't even put it to my ear. I have to talk to whoever I'm on the phone with on speaker because it's just to hot to hold. thankfully though, that last part hasn't occurred in a while. the strange part is that #Voiceover has never informed me that my phone is to hot to use. To that end, I called #Appleaccessibility last night & the advisor I spoke with was extremely kind & helpful. She advised that I restore it, which I haven't done in a few months & now may actually be a good time since #WWDC2025 is coming up on 6/9/2025 & I'm one of Apple's faithful #BetaTesters. I love doing it & it helps create better software for all, since it has less bugs than it otherwise would, if no one in the disability community, especially, those of us who are #Blind, #VisuallyImpaired or #deaf-blind beta tests & reports bugs, Apple won't know where to focus its #Accessibility efforts, which I firmly believe we should all strive to help with, on this #GlobalAccessibilityAwarenessDay! Everyone with any kind of disability should test this stuff. The more testers, the better the public release in the fall will be.
To that end, what's everyone's favorite cross-platform web browser? I'm seeking something which works across, #ApplePlatforms, #Android & #linux, speciffically, #Slackware, as I'm using #Slint which is a dirivitive of #Slackware, designed specifically for the #Blind & #VisuallyImpaired. Have just got off the phone from a call providing feedback to #AppleAccessibility re inaccessibility of #Airpods4. For reference, on the back of the case, there is no fisical button there is a touch surface, that one needs to tap to start the pairing process, however, those who have tried to do it report that this is more miss than hit. I would urge those who care about this to consider calling apple accessibility and voicing concerns around this. The more of us who get in their ear, the better itwill be for future generations of this product. I have suggested that a reasonable resolution to this would be to bring out new compatible cases with the button replaced. #access4All @scottrut @doubletap @JonathanMosen

Thrilled about Apple's latest announcement! Connecting my MFi hearing aid directly to my Mac is a game-changer. No more device switching for different calls—talk about a major quality-of-life upgrade! #AppleAccessibility #HearingAidIntegration #QualityOfLifeEnhancement #Widex

@devinprater I am about to do a feedback email to #AppleAccessibility that is going to cover lots of these points. And reminding them that while we all are looking forward to new possibilities, stressing the importance of not losing focus on accessibility of there existing product line. I will also be reminding them that they need to consider refocusing on #Voiceover on #Mac.

@scottrut Give me a job at #AppleAccessibility clearly there need to be more totally blind users among their number. High partials will never use a device with #Voiceover in the same ways as people who are totally blind and depend on this feature daily will, so stop the one size fits all approach to visually impaired tech assistance; It clearly isn't working. Off my soapbox now
