For ten years, this coming-of-age documentary follows Gabin, a sensitive teenager growing up in the French countryside. Between the expectations of his hardworking parents and his own dreams, he gradually finds his own path.
Gabin doesn’t want to follow in his father’s footsteps. He has no desire to be a butcher; he wants to work with living animals. He likes talking about his feelings, cuddling his favorite cows, and playing video games. His teenage growing pains are ordinary, yet complex, and director Maxence Voiseux captures these formative years with remarkable serenity.
Over ten years, the film follows Gabin as he grows up in the countryside of northern France, between the cattle farm of his loving mother and the butcher shop of his taciturn father. Using a static camera, Voiseux quietly observes Gabin as he searches for his own path while his parents struggle to keep their business afloat.
Accompanied by dreamlike music, the film offers a tender portrait of a teenager on the threshold of adulthood. Amid mounting pressure from his father, an inevitable move to an agricultural boarding school, and the peaceful landscapes of northern France, Gabin reveals the poetic struggle of a boy determined at all costs to remain true to himself.

I am always amazed at members of Parliament in Lithuania squabbling about sums under a million euro (or even under 10 million), esp. when they're looking to tax someone.
Our defense budget is nearly €5 billion.
I wonder if these guys know that a billion is a thousand times more than a million?
And so taxing this or that and then gaining an extra €20 million is... a drop in the ocean even if we're just considering defense - let alone everything else.

Excessive force including dogs and rubber bullets to remove tents and disperse people that weren't harming anyone, all of this for disobedience of a order of dubious legality.
Government invokes a pre-constitutional* law on restrictions on protests that apparently nobody remembered in the past decades when other people did the same for various other reasons. The portuguese constitution does not make any concession for these limits on peaceful and unarmed protests. Plenty of legal experts with doubts that this law can even be applied.
This has happened other times in the past week, and if anything the movement is gaining traction and spreading to more cities.

Enrique Velázquez González, diputado del partido Hagamos, presidirá la Mesa Directiva del Congreso de Jalisco del 1 de noviembre de 2026 al 30 de abril de 2027, luego de recibir 36 votos favorables del pleno legislativo.
El legislador encabezará los trabajos parlamentarios durante seis meses, periodo en el que se discutirán asuntos relacionados con el financiamiento de proyectos hídricos, el presupuesto estatal para 2027 y el segundo informe de gobierno de Pablo Lemus Navarro.
La elección se realizó durante una sesión que comenzó con más de dos horas de retraso y se prolongó hasta la noche del viernes 23 de octubre. Velázquez asumirá el cargo al concluir el periodo de la actual Mesa Directiva, encabezada por la diputada Alondra Getsemany Fausto de León.
Agenda legislativa para 2027
Entre los asuntos pendientes, Velázquez mencionó las alternativas de financiamiento para proyectos de infraestructura hídrica, la revisión del segundo informe de gobierno de Lemus y las comparecencias de integrantes del gabinete estatal para explicar las acciones de sus respectivas dependencias.
El paquete presupuestal de Jalisco para 2027 también formará parte de las discusiones previstas en el Congreso local. Su análisis será relevante para determinar la distribución de recursos públicos entre las dependencias, los programas y los proyectos estatales.
Tras su elección, Velázquez planteó la necesidad de conducir los debates con apego a derecho, fortalecer la institucionalidad del Poder Legislativo y garantizar la discusión de los asuntos de interés público sin tomar partido desde la presidencia de la Mesa Directiva. –sn–
