None of it is the fault of affected households.
They should not be made pay the price, but so far they're the only ones that have.

Both the Mica and the Apartment and Duplex defects issues are a result of the government's lax approach to building regulations, and various corporate companies acting like cowboys to maximise profits!
The scary thing is that we may still be only at the beginning of this scandal...

So this sheet of mica - that is what it said when I bought it - turned all cloudy and swollen after a few hours at high temperatures (over 500 C). This is not at all what I expected, does anybody know what could be going on ?

The world's largest mica capacitor in 1926, one component in the "Imperial Wireless Chain" of long-range radiotelegraphy stations built by the British Empire in the 1920s. The mica inside this device was mined in India, the lady pictured for scale was certainly involved in its construction.

Crypto exchanges: Market consolidation in the European Economic Area.
Despite platitudes, Binance has informed European customers about the upcoming cessation of business operations as of 30 June. It failed to obtain a MiCA (Markets in Crypto-Assets) license.
1000 other providers are also shutting down.

New EU crypto rules could force hundreds of firms to exit the market.
MiCA is the EU’s first comprehensive law for the crypto industry, bringing exchanges, brokers and digital wallet providers under the kind of formal oversight that has long applied to banks and other financial firms.
Fewer than 1 in 5 of the bloc’s registered crypto firms have secured a licence to keep serving European clients.
