The Qivalis consortium, 37 banks across 15 countries, is building a MiCA-compliant euro stablecoin on Ethereum with 1:1 backing. EMI license pending in the Netherlands.

BNP Paribas announced it would join nine other banks based in the EU to launch a euro-backed stablecoin in the second half of 2026. The stablecoin will be launched through an Amsterdam-based entity called Qivalis.
