My most recent animation made in #Friction2D with assets made in #FreeCAD. Also my first time using Flipbook feature (it just accepts a list of frames and creates frame-by-frame animation from them).
The original idea was to use whatever animation features FreeCAD has, but if you just need it to rotate, it's much simpler: you just ask a script to rotate a model, while saving pictures with transparent background.
This is a Polifix thread-forming screw by Accu (they provided an STL of the screw itself), and I simulate the thread-forming process, and temperature raise happening in the process.

I'm playing with my knob.
A quick design in #FreeCAD while I run a test print on a new (to me) printer. These will be for the quick finishing press I started yesterday. The plan is to insert a M601 pause in the gcode and hope that I can just drop the nut in before printing the little capture corners.

Using #FreeCAD, #freecadfriday to design #sheetmetal front covers for two electronics cabinets for the frankenmonster #CNC.
#FreeCAD #sheetmetal workbench unfolded the design and I manually added annotated folding step order and instructions.
The mostly finished cover, including perspex to see if any of the blinky LEDs are in Alarm state. Edit: forgot to #mensshed where I folded the #sheetmetal.
Very untidy WIP frankenmonster #cnc and both the new wall enclosures. Seems forget to take a more tidy finished or action shot!
