Robinson became the first black baseball player to play on a major league team.

I stacked the extracted supers up for the bees to clean out. 4 boxes stacked with 30 frames to give a little space.

I extracted the last honey of the year today. 3 not quite full 10 frame medium boxes gave me 82 lbs / 37 kg of honey. Filled 57 salsa jars which hold about 23oz or 660g. Most of this will probably be fed back next year, I just got done feeding what I had left of last years goldenrod a week ago.
As I was unpacking the tools I was reminded I had an uncapping roller to try and it worked great, much faster than the fork!

October 21, 1837 - The U.S. Army, enforcing President Andrew Jackson’s 1830 Indian Removal Act, captured Seminole leader Osceola (meaning "Black Drink") by inviting him to a peace conference and then seizing him and nineteen others, though they had come under a flag of truce. Under the law, they and the others of the “Five Tribes” (Choctaws, Chickasaws, Creeks and Cherokees) were to be moved, by force if necessary, west of the Mississippi to Indian Territory (Arkansas and Oklahoma).
The Seminole had moved to Florida (then under the control of Spain) from South Carolina and Georgia as they were forced from their ancestral lands, then forced further south into the Everglades where they settled.

October Surprise Mead!
I got a new glass fermenter this weekend for making the meads.
I've just gotten started on a one gallon batch of blueberry/raspberry, and a gal of peach is not far behind.
I'll add the pictures I've taken so far, and caption them and provide some context once I have pitched the yeast tomorrow.
I'll curate the original post for completeness and accuracy, meanwhile y'all can yack at me in the comments with questions and observations.
BTW This mead will have a roughly 18-20% ABV. It is technically classified according to ABV and production method as a 'desert wine'. It has about the same mental effect as a strong (40 proof) liquer.
Aclinically speaking, it is an ass kicker.
