Ordered contact lenses online last week and the delivery got delayed. Not complaining about that. But since we're travelling soon, we decided to cancel the order.

Spending time exploring 80s/90s computers on MiSTer FPGA has me thinking maybe I should consider it for future FPGA projects. It does have nice infra for video, input, IO, etc.
Biggest downside is it requires installing and using Quartus 17.1, which I am not very enthused about.
On the plus side it appears somebody already wrote out instructions for dealing with all the things that go wrong when you try to do that on Ubuntu 22...

This month's Ten Pence Arcade featured game is Super Hang-On from #Sega in 1987.
The ride-on cabinet was pretty tempting and I often played it in the wild back in the day.
I'm playing the challenge on the #misterfpga arcade core via the #mistercade. Playing with the joystick is sub-optimal but it's a great game.
Back in the 90s, I played it most on the #amiga version which, like the #megadrive, was excellent. The Amiga version had mouse control as an option which simulated the analog handlebars really well, despite the cognitive dissonance.
Also, #CRT FTW!
