King’s Quest V y Police Quest III: por fin, las aventuras de Sierra a la altura del Amiga
El grupo de usuarios SCP ha publicado las versiones de King’s Quest V: Absence Makes The Heart Go Yonder y Police Quest III: The Kindred totalmente traducidas al castellano y remasterizadas gráficamente, logrando que estas míticas aventuras de Sierra se disfruten en Amiga con un acabado que, ahora sí, está verdaderamente a la altura de la máquina.
Todo el trabajo ha sido realizado íntegramente por SCP. La traducción al castellano lleva la firma de DaRaSCo, quien ha sabido adaptar los textos con fidelidad y naturalidad, respetando el espíritu original pero haciéndolo totalmente accesible para los jugadores hispanohablantes. En paralelo, Kikems se ha encargado de la mejora y remasterización gráfica, afinando el apartado visual y proporcionando una presentación mucho más pulida y agradable, que encaja perfectamente con el potencial del Amiga.
Ambos juegos incluyen versiones en castellano, inglés y alemán, y además cuentan con soporte MT-32, algo especialmente apreciado por los amantes del sonido clásico de alta calidad. Como no podía ser de otra manera, se presentan en formato preparado para WHDLoad, facilitando su uso tanto en sistemas Amiga reales como en configuraciones compatibles.
Gracias a este trabajo, títulos fundamentales en la historia de las aventuras gráficas reciben el tratamiento que muchos echamos en falta en su día. Y es que, aunque Sierra nos ofreció grandes historias, sus conversiones para Amiga no siempre exprimieron todo el potencial del sistema. Ahora, con estas versiones realizadas con mimo por la comunidad, por fin podemos disfrutar de King’s Quest V y Police Quest III como siempre debieron verse y jugarse en Amiga.

My main interest in the Saturn lies with a handful of exclusives - Sega Rally, Panzer Dragoon, Guardian Heroes and Nights into Dreams.
Don't get me wrong, there were other good and interesting games, but I never had a Saturn and only dabbled in its library over the years.
The Sega Saturn core on MISTer FPGA is still under development but it already plays a lot of the system's library.
I tried out Sega Rally tonight and it looks, sounds and plays great. Is it perfect? Hard to say, I'm no expert. But I did manage to blaze through the first three tracks, so that's encouraging.
