Game over.
The Machine was my 13th #Amiga #cosplay. The design is a mix of the intros of Turrican 2&3 and inspiration from other sources, mainly the classic Borg.
This is my biggest costume project to date: it took 980 crafting hours over 1 year. The armour is made of EVA foam and a whole lot of bits and pieces like old computer chips and cellphone parts.
The #Turrican helmet prop is from my 2nd Turrican suit that I made in 2016.
The photo was taken by void256 and edited by me.

The #turrican 2 box there is the rare msdos release, but i have a burned copy of the homebrew #a1200 port in it. #lemmings is the #cdtv version, which works on a cd32. Jim Power is the recent #piko #port in the #a500 box. I *almost* have an #aminet collection that spells out aminet, im missing vol 23. I am an #american. <3 amiga. #retrogaming #retrocomputers

Finished another classic.
Totally missed it back then in my Amiga days. I played part 1 some years ago and did not like it that much. This one was better. The levels were more compact and it didn't get lost that often 😅 The shmup-levels were nice too."Turrican - the only german action hero" 😆

@konjak I haven't played jump&run games for a long long time. But I remember the old times with #CommanderKeen, #Turrican, Jazz Jackrabbit... and introducing my kid to platformers and a real game controller by playing #Iconoclasts together is simply delightful. The relaxed difficulty level where you won't die is perfect.
I thought that kids growing up with addictive touch-screen mobile games full of in-app-purchases is just the way of the world. But it doesn't have to be 🤩 -
How boring my dad's superficiality on any Mario game I play for typical eternal elements of saga, for him the pearls are those he played on #C64 & #A500 (loved by Gen. Xs), many that he mentions are ports: #DrMario, #RainbowIsland, #BubbleBobble. I didn't grow up and be fan on those, I tried but nothing, but there're some that I like and that are also multiplatform: #Turrican, #ChaosEngine, #SoccerKid, #BubbleandSqueak, #SensibleSoccer, #JamesPond, #Zool, #Speedball, #ItCamefromtheDesert
