The role of the scientist is to search for the truth, not attempt to prove a belief. Science has strict processes for judging what constitutes knowledge. An individual's musings constitute only the beginning, the creation of hypotheses. Testing of hypotheses, followed by peers' careful evaluation and rigorous critiques, may ultimately lead to theories. A scientific theory is not "just" a theory; it represents a very high level of knowledge acquisition. Religious belief is different.

As the darkness of life's winter begins to settle in, the bitter cold of desperation, isolation, a body and mind in decay, bring forth anxiety that accelerates exhaustion that amplifies physical pain, that drowns the soul beneath a hopeless sheet of unforgiving ice, the winters skies grow forever darker, not a star to shine nor guide a descending decline into eternal obscurity, for ones voice screams out for anyone around only to find no sound to come out, reaching out in utter darkness for someone or something to hold, to find your feet have no ground to step upon, a bleak and vacant landscape that is far more like an endless void in the cosmos than existence as a corporeal being, to witness your fading days and rapid decay, as others ignore the plight of hell, for this winters bite is lasting far longer than a single night;
